After buying a PS3 12Gb slim console for a low price I wanted to upgrade the hard drive for a low price. This kit comes with everything you need, and in my case a 750Gb drive instead of a 500gb. It's very easy to install, but comes with instructions if you're struggling. There's also a number of YouTube videos showing exactly how to fit these things, so don't be put off.Everything fits snuggly, no wobbling around or worries of connections coming loose. Once fitted and the PS3 booted up, the PS3 will find the drive and work its magic to make the drive useable and copy across any data.So far 8 months on, I haven't had any issues with the drive.

Got PS3 slim (the one that’s a top loader).It’s 12gb. No actual hard drive installed just flash memory.Got this new hard drive with mounting kit.Assembled hard drive and mounting kit together.Slid and unclipped right side of PS3 off.Slotted kit into place, secured and clipped side back on.Turned PS3 on, answered 2 questions about copying flash memory to new hard drive location (yes and yes).Had nothing really saved on flash memory so took about 10 minutes.Worked fine.If you have a PS3 which already has a hard drive in it. It’s not as straight forward to replace. You’ll have to look online regarding software.

I got a 320gb Seagate in my package. So I was pleased with that. It's a cheap way to upgrade your PS3.I deducted a star because one of the screw's supplied wouldn't screw in. If you're using low quality screw's it would be a good idea to put one or two extra in the package. I had to go to a local computer shop and was lucky enough to get one with the same thread. Then I had to file the head of the replacement screw, so it would fit in the PS3 housing. A lot of work because of a €0.01 screw. But I'm pleased with the HDD.

The hard drive delivered was branded as a Seagate.A quick look at Youtube to see what I needed to do and I fitted this in my sons 12GB PS3 in under 10 minutes.Booted the machine up and after a few yes/no questions the machine worked its magic copying the data from the 12GB flash drive to the new hard drive.Can't believe how simple it all was.Excellent

Hi All,Excellent upgrade for my 12GB Super Slim PS3.As all 12GB PS3 owners will agree, you will at some point have to increase the HDD capacity of the PS3, and this little hard drive does the job excellently.1) Fast delivery and well packaged.2) All components (Screws etc) present.3) Clear and easy to follow printed instructions included and plenty of tutorials available on the You of Tube ;O)4) As the 12GB PS3 has flash memory in my personal experience there was no need to copy any data across. Once the new drive was installed the PS3 did all the rest.Now I can load up games without deleting other game data, which was simply a hassle....I only wish I had purchased this item a while ago!!!Well done Bipra and Amazon :O)Hope this helps and Happy Shopping :O)

This is an odd one, it arrived with four screws but there only two holes in the hard drive??When the two screws were fitted it was still waving around at the unscrewed end which rather makes the whole idea of a cradle pointless. I put the two gromits in (even though there were no screws) to try and stop it moving about too much.The upshot of it all is, I might as well have just bought a 2.5 inch hdd and wedged it with folded credit cards like they do on YouTube.Note to manufacturer - If there are four holes in the caddy - make sure the hard drive has four holes too!

Brilliant, came with fitting instructions. I managed to fit it within 10 minutes and then downloaded my first game. I have been using it for over a week now and I am so glad I got it. One thing I would say is when I put in the hard drive my TV wouldn’t recognise I had my PlayStation 3 plugged in. All I had to do was hold the on/off button for 10 seconds and problem solved. This may save you 10 minutes on google, and 10 minutes of panic!!

Perfect for the PS3 12gb. Really easy to install, flip off the side panel, screw into the holder and pop in the machine.Go to settings and you can see what memory is available, I think this was about 280gb of useable storage which is great for the price.Also comes with the mounting bracket which looked a bit bit and the springy bit didn't move but it still fits and works well so far.
