Seventh Generation Free and Clear Dishwasher Detergent Powder 75 oz

How well dish powder works depends on how good your machine is, and whether you’ve cleaned your dishwasher filter lately, so don’t blame this detergent if it doesn’t work as well for you. I like seventh generation products.

It's ok maybe bbn I put too much. Not as good as the regular dishwasher brands or pods. It can leave a residue on the glasses, if you use too much.

I started using this dish powder a year or two ago, and I've been very happy with it. My dishes come out just as clean as with other detergents I've tried, and I like knowing that it's biodegradable and less toxic than other options. It's loose powder in the box, and the pour spout is not fancy, but as long as you're careful pouring the powder out it's not an problem. The only issue I've ever had is occasionally pouring a little more than I meant to into the dishwasher.It is a bit pricier than other detergents. My Bosch dishwasher has a min and max line for the detergent. If I fill it just above the min line, it uses about 1.5 tablespoons of this dish powder. That means the 75 ounce box lasts me about 100 loads. I run my dishwasher every other day, so I use maybe 1.5 or 2 boxes a year.

Like the product, don't like the spout. As in most granular dishwashing detergent boxes, there is a small metal spout on one side that is opened to pour out detergent. This spout is flimsier than other detergents I've used and easily runs amok. On one box, the hinge just fell apart and the spout dropped out of the box completely. The spout can also be pushed into the box from the non-hinge edge, and this happened to me on another box.The product itself works as well as any other I've used. I don't like to use the pack detergents because I have soft water and they provide too much detergent, hence I measure out a tablespoon or so of powder detergent for best washing. Also, the amount changes for heavier (dirtier) loads vs. just glassware.

Because I have a septic system ( which has been working great for over 60 years), I am careful about what I put in it. In a recent testing of dishwasher detergents by a nationally-known consumer publication ;), this was at the top of the ones which met my criteria for more natural detergents, so I tried it.It does not clean my dishes as well as the cascade I was using previously. They need to be better scraped, and some items (like cottage cheese) need to be washed off by hand. However, I am still using it because I prefer to be gentle on our septic system. I finally found a local grocery which carries this line, but initially I couldn't find it locally so ordered it on Amazon.

My kitchenaid dishwasher did not love this detergent cleaner. I found that I needed to rewatch some dishes after the dishwasher ran. Love seventh generation products - hoping a different type will be a better match.

One of the only dishwasher detergents without toxic ingredients. Cleans well (an 8.5/10 compared to the best cleaning ones). Use hottest water if don't preclean. Overall rating is a TEN.

I was making my own dish washing powder but had to add bleach to get glasses to shine.Got some of this on sale and decided to try it. It worked just as good as my homemade and no need to add bleach. So this is my go to dish washing powder from now forward and price is reasonable on Prime! It handles greasy pots and dishes very well and makes stainless steel pots shine. glasses sparkle! And I've also noticed an ugly deposit is coming off the heating element. Great product.

This is the best dishwasher powder I have ever used. And I have been using the dishwasher for the last 20 years. I paid Rs. 6660, surely on the higher side. But looks like it’s worth it, for just a small quantity is enough to wash a load of dishes to a sparkle. You don’t get pungent smell of chemicals, no unpleasant sticky layer on the dishes after the wash (the previous one -- Arningo 3-in-1tablets had it and about 3 packets, for no less than Rs. 1350, are just lying waste!) and the glassware sparkles. Love this product.

Leaves food residue and soap spots on dishes. Trying to return it now. My dishwasher is new and never had this issue with any other solutions (and i tried few).
