The Right Move (Windy City Series Book 2) : Tomforde, Liz: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Pulled at my Heart Strings!! Loved, loved, loved! - 4.75-5⭐️ This book took my heart, shattered it, healed It and embedded it back in my chest! Sport Romance is my new fav obsession! First I loved ice hockey, now I also love basketball. God help me by the time the series has finished! This book made me giggle and it made me cry (happy tears). The emotions I felt reading this book was on a whole new level. I got truly lost in this book and could view it in my mind and forget where I was (in real life)! I adored the story line of this book and the topics brought up that occur in real life. I really praise Liz for adding in those topics and showing a true reality of good and/or bad of what it can cause and bring to the table for some people and families. I thought Liz sold it really well and again that made me emotional. This book really pulled at my heart strings. This book is based on Ryan (who is Stevie’s twin who we’re introduced to in the first book) and Indy who is Stevie’s best friend (again introduced in first book). Indy essential ends up moving in with Ryan to save up some extra money for herself soon after a breakup. However, Ryan doesn’t want Indy moving into his living space but only agrees as Stevie and Indy are friends and he would do anything for his twin! Spoilers Below ** ——————————————————————————— OMFG is Ryan a gift from God? He is also who I’d describe as a wagon wheel - soft on the inside, hard on the out. I’m sorry, but I think he has set the bar for any boyfriend. Fictional or non fictional. Learning sign language did me over, I cried every time. The way Liz wrote this book I could really connect with his feelings and desire to communicate with Indy’s family. My heart was melting so bad! The way her paid for fertility treatment and a house. I did guess those from the start, he learning sign language to ask Indy’s dad permission on marriage and helping in some way shape or form with Indy and having a child and paying for fertility treatments. Even though I guessed it, I was so happy my guesses were confirmed and incorporated within the book! We truly did see Ryan’s thoughtful side and how he still took care of Indy even where they had fallen out and she was with Rio… ah my heart cannot cope!!! Indy on the other hand, I blooming love her character. I really felt for her and I can truly relate and feel what she feels in the aspect of caring for others and putting others first. I’m so so SOOO glad they got their happy ending!! I wish I could re-read this again as well as Mile High🥹🥹🥹 Review: Aahh what a sweet book - I really enjoyed the characters in this book. I saw it recommended on Reddit as someone wanted a "gentle hero". I'm a bit tired of the alpha stuff I've been reading so I gave this a go (without reading the first book in the series). This book is a little longer than the average and isn't very "insta-love" - neither of these were a negative thing for me. I liked the banter/dialogue and I liked that any plot turning points weren't too stupid (I've read a few where I've rolled my eyes, willed the characters to get a grip or muttered a "for goodness sake) I think I may well go back and read the first one now!

Loved the book so much
I loved reading this book so much. I finally got round to reading it after having it for months staring at me from my bookcase. And it was better than I could have ever imagined that it would be. Liz is amazing at writing books, and the Windy City series is a testament to that statement. Ever since reading the first book of the series, I have been utterly obsessed with Liz's writing, plot, and the characters she comes up with are amazing. This story follows Ryan, who is the twin brother of our FMC in the first book and her best friend Indy. Best friends brother is such a trope I love, and damn was it done so good in this book. I love these characters so much, and the tropes that went along with it were just so good. I love the fact that Indy moved in with Ryan due to his sisters meddling as Indy needed a place to live, and she guilt tripped the hell out of Ryan for it. The forced proximity because of this was so good. I love the personalities of Ryan and Indy, and they just deserve the world. They are so wholesome and had both been through some stuff from their past and deserved to be happy finally, and them being together was the reasoning behind why they finally got what they truly wanted in life. I can't wait to read the other books in the series and see this couple with their family.

Oh, boy! Liz Tomforde delivered!!! This one is even better than Mile High. I've always had trouble picking out a heroine I can imagine I see myself in, but Indy is the first one... nurturing, emotional, romantic, loving romance books & sacrificing herself for her loved ones... & RYAN! Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, words would fail to describe how much I love his flawed perfection. What a ride! I have never clicked pre-order as fast as I did for the next one 🩷

So, your name is Blue? 🤣🤣🤣Omg! I loved this book so much!!! Liz Tomforde definitely does not disappoint!! The banter is just so perfect and funny. Ryan and Indy complement each other so well and I couldn't get enough of them!!! I love Indy and Stevie's friendship so much! And I love that she was promoted and able to modify the no-fraternization clause so she could remain friends with Zee and the others. I loved Stevie and Zee's appearances in this book so much. I felt so bad for Indy when she found out her friends were shopping for the wedding without her. Honestly, I didn't like her friends. And the fact that they all took her cheating ex's side and are still friends with him is just ugh!!! After everything Indy went through before her book started, I can totally understand how emotional she was. The more I learned about her ex the more I hated him. He's just gross. And her fertility issues!! Omg!!! I was heartbroken for her!! But I'm so happy Ryan found out and did what he did to ensure her procedures were "covered under her work insurance." And he learned ASL to communicate with her dad. And started buying vegetarian bacon for her and made her coffee!!! He is truly an amazing and thoughtful guy and I love him so much!! I was so mad when I learned that his ex just wanted him for his money. Ugh! I'm glad she's out of his life and he now has Indy to love him the way he deserves. And omg!!! The way Ryan rescued Indy when she saw Alex after the game and that first kiss!!!! And the sexual tension between them is so good. I love it!! And he got her her own bookshelf for her romance novels and is paying for David's granddaughter's piano lessons!!! And ohhhh, he was pissed when he heard Indy was on a date, hehehhe. And omg!!! The engagement party!!! I loved everything about it!! Zee and Vee's happiness and Indy being the amazing friend that she is, and Rio!! Hahahaha, I just love Rio so much!!! And of course Ryan couldn't stay away when he saw Indy and Rio dancing!!! And he took care of her when she was sick!! He's truly amazing! Have I mentioned how awful Maggie is to Indy?! Ugh, gross. I'm so happy Indy found the best of friends in Stevie!!! I love them both so much! And that scene with Ryan and Indy babysitting Max was just so adorable. Omg, I was so sad about their misunderstanding with the pregnancy test. But I was so happy for Stevie and Zee. And so happy too that Ryan wants the same things as Indy. And he bought a house!!!!! I'm so happy they found their happy ending in each other!! They deserve all the happiness in the world!!! And the epilogue was just perfect!!! I loved all the babies!!! I loved Kai! I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out!! I just know Kai's story will be as amazingly perfect as Zee and Stevie's snd Ryan and Indy's. And Rio!!! So excited to read his book too! I just love him so much!!! Liz Tomforde is now officially one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read her future books!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

4.75⭐️ ✨Best Friend's Brother ✨Sister's Best Friend ✨Forced Proximity ✨Roommates ✨Fake Dating ✨Mental Health Rep ✨Basketball Player x Flight Attendant ✨“Sometimes the quietest love is the loudest.“✨ The Right Move is the second book in the Windy City series and it follows Ryan Shay and Indigo Ivers. Indigo moves into Ryan‘s place at his sister’s, Stevie‘s, insistence and disrupts his organised and lonely life with her colours and her mess. While they start out being not quite fond of each other they quickly find themselves in a fake relationship that brings them closer and closer together. After some time the question arises if the relationship is really as fake as they pretend it to be. And then there’s the point of the living arrangement only being temporary, aren’t they? ✨I absolutely adored this book, I loved it just as much as the first one and I can’t wait for the next. I love how Liz keeps including and representing different mental health struggles. How in this one, while for Ryan it was partially similar to Evan‘s struggles, he had a much harder time. Trying to always be the perfect man, not giving anything to make negative headlines about him, and now having the added stress of trying to be a good captain to the team. ✨I adored Indy‘s character, her being quite relatable for a lot of us book girlies. It was so funny how she made a “How to be a book boyfriend” bucket list for Ryan and how she used romance novels to escape reality. I also loved how she got Ryan back to feeling more and how she slowly brought him back to life while also struggling with her own issues like infertility, being cheated on, and being alone for the first time in 6 years. ✨Ryan was such a sweetheart, adapting his love language to whatever Indy needed, whether that were small things, like making her a coffee every morning, taking care of her when she was sick, or building her a new bookshelf and learning how to take care of her plants. I also loved how he made her a bucket list so that she could learn to be alone and not feel bad about herself and her situation. How he paid for her fertility treatment and how he bought them a house when they hadn’t even officially made their relationship real. I also adored his relationship with Stevie and how he later saw Evan as a brother. ✨"You can't stop being who you are because someone else thinks it's too much, Ind. He can go find less."✨
