Interpet Aquarium Fish Tank Syphon Water Drainer and Gravel Cleaner, with Nozzle and No Return Valve, Large

As other reviews have mentioned, this pumps the water quickly so make sure you have a large enough bucket to take the water you're removing!Very easy to use (had no problems getting it started), but the suction is surprisingly powerful. It drew up quite a lot of gravel into the main pump at times, however that is probably down to using this for the first time and not moving it around the tank quickly enough.The most important thing is that it disturbs the gravel enough to remove any dirt that might be harbouring there, and transfers the dirt out of the tank. A good product that works well and will play a major role in keeping your tank clean, and your fish healthy.

Bought this for our 175 litre aquarium at my place of work to replace a less sturdy model. This works fine, is well made and a lot more robust than the last one. As another reviewer said it works better if you fill the chamber and hold the bottom of the hose in a bucket with your thumb over the end, hold the chamber up in the air, take your thumb off the hose for a second to fill the tube, you may need to shake the chamber gently to get any remaining air out. When the tube is full keep thumb over tube end, lower chamber back in the tank to completely fill it , lower in tank, take thumb off tube and it starts to syphon. Sounds long winded but it takes seconds to do. It is better than pumping it up and down in the tank scaring the fish. I wish I had gone for the medium size though as this large one soon fills my 10 litre bucket.

This replaces an older model of the same brand.They are excellent to use and clear a lot of water out of the tank very quickly. The syphon self start is good although I did find as it aged (Older model) it stuck quite frequently.The only draw back to this one is that the tube is bigger than before. I find this one takes more water quickly, but the old size (Still bigger than current medium one) was better for gravel cleaning. I have a 260 litre tank and struggle to clean all the gravel before I've hit 25% water change.Therefore only 4 stars but you really won't go wrong with one of these in my experience.Delivery prompt as well.

i bought the large for my 200l tank thinking id need it,i waswrong this is too big even for this tank butit drains water away faster than my old one.the hoze could have been slightly longer but just means i put a bucket on a stool instead of the floor.the actual tube is 300mm long which is great no loss of gravel but a struggle to get into the tank.no pump start with this but as a tip, fill the tube with ya finger over the end ofpipe allow water to drain half way through the pipe, repeat again but this time lower pipe into bucket release yourfinger and away it goes simple. none of this pumping inside the tank stuff to scare the fish.

Does the job fine, larger head works great with sandy sunstrate. Just another foot of hose on the end would make this 5*

Pleased with this gravel cleaner and is so mich easier to use than my last one. It makes water changes a more painless event as it cleans gravel and removes water - so a big bonus for me as I now don't require a weekly 20% water change. I would have given five stars but would have liked the option of a longer tube, as I have to keep hold of this whilst the water falls into the bucket.

J'ai commander ce produit pour nettoyer l'aquarium de ma tortue qui fait H50 x L100 x l40. J'ai parfaitement suivi le mode d'emploi, mais il semblerait qu'il faut une certaine profondeur pour amorcer la pompe. dans l'aquarium de ma tortue il y a environ 30cm et ce n'est pas suffisant.

Mi acuario es de 78 litros y el sustrato que uso es JBL Manado. Realiza de forma rápida la extracción del agua y parece que con un sustrato tan fácilmente “removible “ succiona bien
