It seems decently big for the soon to be 5 year it was purchased for. He likes to cape blankets around him at breakfast because he is cold and I think this will suit him well. I have seen a lot of other satisfied reviews, but honestly for the cost, it's pretty good. Feels about the same as the 2.50 fleece blankets from Walmart that I use for the guinea pig cages. If you set your expectation for what it is, a cute, light weight, cape style blanket for little kids it perfect. It's also really short, the kid in the picture can't be much more than 48" tall. My 9 year old is just below 5 feet tall and the blanket reaches her knees when she has the hood on. She loves it though and snuggles with it every night, hood, mittens and all.
