What a treat!
Bought all three of these from the same vendor -- exquisite condition and thoroughly enjoyable. I happened to discover "Dick Tracy" in the papers at the same time (mid-'78) these volumes commence (Jan. '78). They totally take me back -- the great stories and distinct, classic looking artwork (I much prefer Fletcher to Locher) are vivid and entertaining. I cannot wait to share these with my kids, and I REALLY hope they find a way to come out with further volumes. What a great purchase!

Great art, Fun Stories, But Not a Good Reprint
Rick Fletcher was by far the best Tracy artist. He managed to take Gould's creations and make it look so much better. I'm a little disheartened that this is billed only as a Max Allen Collins book. The stories are adequate, but a little lackluster (although it was nice he returned Dick Tracy to his roots, and ditched all that moon nonsense). The reprint is pretty lazy, though. Images are broken or faint. The pages have a lot of wasted space. And the cover? They slapped on a drawing of Tracy done by Dick Locher. There are now better compendiums out there, so I would suggest you look at other publishers.
