Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Complete Collection Two [Blu-ray] by Funimation

I've been looking for the Blu-Ray set of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood for a long time, and usually I would find some $40 copy that wouldnt run on any Blu-Ray players in the U.S. which was a mega bummer. I kept an eye on this set, but the price was keeping me from purchasing it. I eventually had enough spare funds to acquire it, and I can say that I personally am very happy with it. Now theres nothing *too* special about this set, other than the beautiful box it comes in, and the art on both the box and each of the cases for the 7 discs (2 per case plus a single 'extras' disc). It also comes with a small pamphlet with short descriptions of each episode as well as character descriptions for every main character in the second half of the show. But the show is what you're purchasing, and it is amazing in its quality, both of the discs and the shows content. Now, this set may not be the most necessary thing for most fans of the show. Its expensive for just half of the show, and also the full show is available on a lot of the streaming sites, such as Crunchyroll and Netflix, so its not really hard to watch. However, if youre like me, and enjoy collecting physical releases of your favorite shows, this is a no-brainer. Having the show available to watch with no internet connection, or if any of the sites removes it due to licensing or whatever, makes physical discs still much more valuable to me than streaming sites. TL;DR, Expensive, but if you collect physical editions or just really REALLY like FMA:B, this set is a great buy.

I got the chills, I cried, I even felt my heart being ripped from my chest at certain times but even though this still has its childish moments to it and over-dramatic moments at certain times, my ultimatum is that it took a different turn than the other version of Fullmetal Alchemist and was infinitely better. The most amazing soundtrack I've ever heard for an anime perfectly noted over scenes, and amazing voices for the English dub as well.The ending makes sense and it's a lot more satisfying of a plot. The villain was much more sinister, and the resolution absolved all of the hatred that I started off with for every single character. Never have I felt better about an ending to anime, ever. Mai's voice is very annoying in the English dub, and the plot tries to explain itself too much at times, but a quick flow kept me interested all the way to the end. If you're a fan of anime then this is one of the very few I would call an Anime Wonder. Still gives me chills to this day.

A fantastic series that takes a completely different turn from the first FMA series. Brothers Edward and Alphonse work to reclaim their bodies after an alchemic mishap leaves them limbless and bodiless. Not really for the younger audience, but this series is a gripping well told saga that any FMA fan will love. Characters are memorable, well animated and the voice actors are top notch. I would definitely recommend this series. In my opinion, it is better than the original series, bearing in mind both go in a different direction. It's not a remake. After the first several episodes the story changes and a completely different adventure and outcomes are experienced. Be sure to pick up the Brotherhood Complete Collection One as well, so you can get to know these characters and see how their journey began as they search for a way to put their lives and themselves back together!

Not much i can say about the show that hasnt been already said. Good show while i wont rate it the best ive seen like alot of peep have mainly because theirs a few i just like better id definatley put this in top 10 list. The 2 box sets were done very nicely no complaints so if ya want a nice anime with good story and chars definatley get this 1. I cant comit on the Bray cause i got the reg DVD set. I hafta be honest when it comes to Funimation Brays they to often leave alot to be desired. I dont mind getting Bray when they do their combo set, but i wont buy a Bray version from them any way else. To many times ive seen their Brays have to many issues like claymore ( wich still burns my ass) purple spots on the chars faces in 6 or 7 episodes, or puprle outlines around the edges of character like in Dance In The Vampire Bund.

even though this isnt the edition that came with extra context such as cards/art books in Full metal alchemist brother PARTS 1-5 (dvd/blue ray) this is a great set to box set if u love full metal alchemist brotherhood its cheaper than buying multiple parts plus u get over 12 hrs of non-stop action, i recommend buying this and the first box if u love full metal alchemist and is in need of saving money however if ur a super die hard fan i recommend getting the five parts Hardcore ? fma brother hood vol 1-5 with addition artworks/books its around $200 or Budget ? fma brother hood complete collection 1 and 2 is around $70

I have been a fan of anime since I was a kid. I have seen a lot of shows. I am caught up to naruto, bleach, I finished soul eater, samurai champ loo, cowboy bebop, and I seen some one piece not to fond of it though. I seen a lot of anime in my life time and this show is just excellent. A great story, good amount of suspense, I love the villians pride and wrath are probably my favorite. Each episode is just so fun to watch. I havnt watched the original series but I have to assume its better. This is a must buy for anyone who love or is a fan of anime shows.

Me encantó poder volver a ver la primera serie anime que vi . Lo que no me ha gustado es que no pueda poner los subtítulos en inglés . Solamente se puede o bien poner en japonés y subtítulos en inglés o directamente en inglés sin subtítulos . Por lo demás , perfecto.

awesome show wished it got cheaper

One of the few animes I'm willing to spend money on- just a masterpiece of a series! The dual audio is a plus- I much prefer watching in the original language with subtitles but every now and then I get curious as to how the English dub turned out and this series has a better cast than most. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Long over due for the people of England. This will apparently slide into collections one housing making it all nice and neat looking like Manga UK initially intended on, releasing a COMPLETE set rather then 2 parts, however this wasn't allowed. Anyways, GREAT ANIME, PREORDER BOTH PARTS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!
