Super Tough Floor Stand Base for Indoor Flagpole – Metallic Gold

Bought these flag stands for our Boy Scout troop. They work perfectly, and look good. With an 8' flagpole mounted in the stand they stay upright but could be knocked over. We chose not to weight them, but if you do need to there is a large plug in the bottom hat could be removed to add weight. From past experience, I'd recommend pea gravel rather than sand -- sand tends to escape through tiny cracks.The stands are a shiny gold color. I don't know how durable it will be but they look good when new.

Looks good and holds the flag pole in place. This is unweighted, so you need to add some to keep it upright. I recommend you get some fast drying cement from Lowes and pour a bit in there to give it weight. Don't use sand or gravel, the plug may or may not hold. A bottle of patch cement gives just the right weight. and it stays in one piece inside.

this is a super little flag pole stand. be sure to measure your pole diameter. since this is used in my church, and I did not want to mess up the carpet in the worst case scenario should the hole become open. I used pea gravel. I filled pint freezer zip lock bags about 1/3 of the way, zipped and then put that in another zip lock bag. works great. I got 3 double bags in easily.

I bought this stand as recommended with the wooden pole I bought. The pole is 1 1/4 inches and the stand said it would take up to 1 1/4 inch pole. It's a very tight fit. I could just "set it and forget it" but may need to move it at times. I'm afraid I'll have to sand the pole down a little to accommodate. It's hard to find a pole that's the right size for my room. Not the stand company's fault. I think they put to much polyurethane on the pole.

We needed a stand for our flag at the nearby VFW hall. This fits the bill perfectly. It is nice looking and has enough weight to support the flag without filling the cavity with weighted material. There is an opening in which you could pour weighted material in, however the plug they supply fits too loose and would have to be permanently cemented to be useful. You could not put water in, the plug is on the bottom and I don't think it could be made watertight. We thought of pouring plaster of paris into the cavity, and that would work, but for now we left it alone with nothing.

The stand worked perfectly to hold the flagpole I was using as a display at an event. I used it unweighted because it came with no plug to seal the hole in the bottom. Fortunately it was sturdy enough to hold my display all weekend.

I purchased two of these for displaying of flags outdoors on special occasions. I have noticed in some of the reviews that people have put sand or pea gravel in the base for weight. Since these were not for permanent indoor use I did not want to use sand or pea gravel. I was looking for something that I could remove to store. What better then water. I used a Gorrilla Glue and applied a healthy amount then rolled the base to make sure it got coverage and then used plumbers tape to seal the edges on the screw in cap. I did not have any water leak upon completing the above mentioned steps.Also, the flag stand comes with two different diameters of PVC to fight your flag pole in the base. They fell out every time I turned stands at an angle or upside down, so I just used some of the glue to secure them so that I will never lose them in using or storing them.

Perfect for Scout Troop flags because it has an adapter to fit smaller diameter flagpoles. Lightweight shipping because you fill it with sand before use. Took less than 50lbs of sand which you should purchase new from a hardware store because you should not have ANY moisture inside. Clean sand was not that expensive (check for special markdowns on busted bags at the store).

Bought to go with my "8 Foot Aluminum Silver Pole with (Ball)" purchase, and it fit like a charm. Kind of annoying that you need to fill the base with sand (sand sold separately), but apart from that, it works great!

Looks well made. For indoor use only, you need a flagpole. Attractive design, ensure you get the correct diameter!Too early to rate durability but it looks like it will last.
