First off, thank you to all the people sounding the alarm on the fake brushes. I knew what to look out for, and I did get the real deal! So this review is of the real Wet brush. This brush is magic! I accidentally discovered it on a blog about curly hair, but it works on all types of hair, both dry and wet. My daughter is biracial and has 3c curly hair, so I was looking for a detangling device for our once-a-week wash and detangle sessions. Wide-tooth combs just weren’t doing it - her hair is very thin and fine, and the knots were going right through the wide teeth. But a regular brush pulled too much. This detangler brush, however, is perfect! Its bristles are very flexible so it slides gently through the hair without pulling. If it encounters a snag, it glides over instead of catching it, which means you have to do a lot more strokes than you would with a regular brush to get the tangles out little by little, but the upside is that it detangles more effectively and more gently. It just takes a little longer. My daughter is 3 and never complains about pulling with this brush! I use it when her hair is wet and has conditioner in it, to make it extra slippery and easy to brush through. I brush the conditioner through with the Wet brush, getting rid of any tangles. I was so impressed with this brush, that I got one for myself as well! My hair is long, straight and very fine, and extremely prone to tangling. I get knots at the back of my head pretty much every day no matter how well I brush every morning. With this brush though, going through my hair is a piece of cake! I absolutely love it! I’ve had long hair since I was a little kid and have owned a lot of brushes, but nothing has come even close to the Wet brush. I laughed when I read one reviewer say that anybody who has hair needs to have this brush. Now I see how true that is! WARNING: The Amazon listing for this brush is actually very misleading. It looks like the brush has a bunch of color options, so I ordered several, of different colors, thinking I was getting the same brush just in different colors. But they’re not! Some of the colors are actually different models! And not all of them are the magic detangler brush! This is really confusing and frustrating. One of the brushes I got ended up being a “blowout” brush, not a detangler brush. I don’t know what a “blowout” brush is, but it was no different from any old regular brush, and it pulled and hurt like regular brushes, too. Unfortunately it was too late to return it. I have notified Amazon of the confusing listing. But in the meantime, if you want the awesome detangling brush, make sure it says “Detangler” in the name!

Love love love WetBrushes! This one does the same as all the other WetBrushes I’ve tried. It doesn’t pull my fine hair, unless I have serious knots. Even then, if you go slow and start at the bottom it’s not too bad. There is no static which is a plus. And it’s pretty versatile in using with both wavy and straight hair styles. It does have a lot of “fuzz” buildup in around the bristles after about 6-8 months. It doesn’t interfere with the use of the brush, it just doesn’t “look” all that good. I’ve never had a WetBrush break so the durability is on point. I’m still occasionally the one I have bought 4-5 years ago, I just don’t too often because of the fuzz and lint buildup. I use it more for trips (so I don’t mind losing) or if I’ve recently colored my hair a fashion color. This way the color doesn’t bleed onto the brush.

I honestly thought it was just hyped up with these wet brushes I’m speechless comb my hair easy no tangles at all not once my hair was pulled nothing it was like the brush was gliding lol I always bought my brushes at Walmart even dollar tree but for the last years I hated my brushes always my hair knotts and pulling my hair to the point there was a lot of hair in my brushes got tired of it got to a point I dint even wanted to brush my hair anymore just hurted my scalp pulling my hair. I heard about these brushes I honestly dint believe it I wished I did would of saved me from all this pain I been thru with these brushes!!! I bought the Disney one in belle so adorable I wanna buy all the Disney collection ones I’m so happy I finally got one no more tangles yayy!

If you have a child (or even yourself) who hates getting hair brushed, this is for you! I don’t know how it works but it WORKS.

I was a bit skeptical when buying this, even after reading all of the good reviews. My 10 year old daughter has hair that tangles so easily and brushing has always been a nightmare. We have tried so many different detangling brushes and sprays, yet none have seemed to do the trick. She hated me brushing her hair because it hurt and she is also at the age where she doesn’t want me doing it, but she struggled to get the tangles out herself. Since she started using this brush she hasn’t once moaned and she manages to get all of the tangles out herself with minimal effort. It is by far the best hairbrush I have ever bought, definitely worth the money! I’m even going to order myself one!
