I don't think extra doors would make a difference, unless they were snap in replaceable.

How long does the battery last?

Great hearing aid, easy on the ear, but battery life was 3 to 4 days, wearing it all day. The weakness of this unit was the tiny plastic battery door - broke off within a few months. The plastic door was thin and didn't have the strength to take numerous opening and closing, including the unit was difficult for my fingers to install, remove battery, and secure closing of door.
