They are nice
These are nice. The material is a little lighter than my old wooden one. I'm guessing it's like a particle board wood but they work perfectly fine. The color and eyes are a nice touch.I am a high school teacher and bought these for my students to just play with as they work or go through class. I would have never thought of using these but one was gifted to me and I realized how much my students liked playing with it so I bought a few more. When used at the appropriate times, these help students relax and stay on task.

Nostalgia time
I was a kid when the original blocks came out, & now generations later people are clueless they existed, I comments are usually “oh I remember those “ in their 60’s and up, great fun, good construction & nice colors and still raise the question “how do they work”

Great quality except for one of the three sets.
I ordered three sets of these Jacob's ladders. They all were cute and worked well. One was "stuck" initially, but worked after I pulled on the first block. There must have been a little extra glue stuck on the top. However one of the snake ladders was made of scrappy wood...three block faces were painted over gouges and cracks. I'm trying to exchange through the free returns.

cute and colorful if not overly sturdy.
These were cute and entertained the family of 4 children, ages 3-9, that were the recipients. They weren't very sturdy tho and some squares came off after a few rounds of use. And the squares tangled in the bands pretty easily. Still, they were a hit, just not one that will last too long.

Fun fidget
Great fidget to play with. No batteries needed and can be easily put in a backpack. Wouldn’t take to a restaurant since it does make a noise when each piece of wood hit each other.Good brain break or something to fidget with. My kids don’t play with it for long stretches of time. Maybe just a minute or two at a time.Great for stocking/basket.

Broken
One came broken. The other fell apart after playing for 2 minutes. Yes, we attempted to put them back together with different glues and nothing held. Very cute but clearly didn’t serve their purpose. Will be returning
