I've had problems in the past with the plastic ''feeding' tray cracking after being screwed onto the jar causing leaking. This feeder does NOT crack under regular usage. Nor does it leak. Hummers seem very happy with it & the bees leave it alone (I have a separate feeding station for them). Good buy & worth it!!!!

These are cheap, no muss no fuss trays. Fill em up hang then on a branch and the birds will take it from there.They will use the water dish, but it's so small, I just use it as a feeder that doesn't drain.Beware, these types of feeders are open to everyone and you can burn through a lot of birdseed with these.

I already have a fountain so I used the water one for my squirrels' snacksThe larger feed one which has the holes was perfect out in the yard for the larger birdsThese are constructed of thick plastic, not that flimsy stuff so they should hold up for years - I was just now replacing a metal one that finally gave outThe chains easily connect to the feeder/water traysYou can do it as an individual feeder/water or you can connect the two as a tier systemThe hooks are thick and will hold up to multiple birds - I do wish they were a bit bigger, they are large but I needed to attach them to a larger tree branchand you get both trays with all the hardware for this price

This little feeder works fine. I have two hummingbirds that use my feeder, and I broke my old one, it was made of glass. So I got this plastic one, so I don't have to worry about dropping it.One hummingbird watched me through the window this morning while I made syrup and refilled the feeder. So cute.
