Was skeptical but definitely worth it
I almost bought this arm exerciser about 5 times but never pulled the trigger based on some negative reviews. Finally decided to go for it and it’s actually a great machine. Takes a few tries to get the hang of how to get it started, but with a little practice is no problem. The gyro ball is quite large, and contained in a plastic bubble which is nice because it can’t rub against something and stop, or burn your skin. Way better than the little wrist gyro balls imo, and worth the little bit of extra money.

Rattling
As opposed to the original design which was very smooth, this one shakes. The powerful high frequency vibrations leave my hands numb. I managed to fix it to some extent by replacing the handles with foam pipe isolation from Home Depot, so it's okay (although still unpleasant) for my own use but can't give it as a gift to a friend of mine as intended.

Able to maintain the gyro spin after 5 minutes
I found holding the handles vertical I was able to hold the spin better than arms outstretched and horizontal. I’ll need to work into the various positions shown in the instructions.I took off one star because the mechanism could be smoother. When you lose the spin hold there is a noticeable clunk which is jarring. Overall a very tough workout. It helps to have used gyro balls so you know what to feel for as you input energy.

Adding Balance To Reviews
I bought one of these a number of years ago at a MUCH higher price. The product is very similar to the gyroscopic hand held balls used to strengthen your grip. This just a much bigger gyro scope ball with handles. Once you get the ball spinning fast, it definitely engages your hands, forearms, upper arms, and shoulders (and then some). It is a workout. Search online for videos - they are helpful. Takes some practice and skill. Slight learning curve. If you can't keep the ball spinning, you're NOT starting it (with the pull cord) fast enough. Pull the cord (about 6 inches out) progressively faster (6 to 8 times normally enough). But, you must get it up to a speed threshold before you can make it go faster with the handles. Once up to speed, I guarantee you're get a workout.
