If you want to keep someone out of your bedroom at night I Highly recommend this!!! I got tired of my niece coming into my bedroom at night because she wakes me out of my sleep I share a room her sister and gets into my things when I spend the night! I had just brought a lock for the door and she tamper with that so that have to be tightened! I installed this until I can woke on the door knob and this and about 3 am she tired to get to my room and she couldn’t! So I highly recommend this if you got a niece or nephew or anyone who keeps wanting to come in your room while you sleep at night this will keep them out!!!

This little door lock is pretty amazing. Recently, had to order a new lockset for a door leaving it completely unlocked for several days. The Trustella portable door lock is pretty small...only about 2" wide and 4" long and comes with a small travel pouch. While we did not use it for travel, I can see throwing this in a suitcase pocket so it's available if needed. It was a little tricky for me to figure out at first, but once you get it into place it's very study and feels very secure. Even my locksmith was impressed when he came back to finish the door lock repair and saw what we had been using.

This is a very well executed and well-built version of this type of lock. I’ve bought a couple different brands of the same design, and this is the best constructed. The one thing that all of them have in common as a downside is on certain doors, if the frame is proud of the wall, the bolt that tightens down against the actual door itself may be too short to reach the door. Simple solution: go to the hardware store and pick yourself up a few different lengths of 6 mm bolts that are progressively longer than the one included in the kit. That way this will work for doors of different construction. I also like that the silicone protects the door (The silicone piece on the 6mm bolt can be pulled off and switched between different bolt ends).

This didn't work for me because it requires a substantial space between the door itself and the door frame, at least 1/8 inches or more. My door's gap was much too small to allow this item to fit.

My son recently started escaping from our windows and front door. It had been a very terrifying experience for us since he is only 3.
