The ear defender works very well on firing range. It helps to shut out undesirable noise to a great extent. The quality is very good, and it is v comfortable to the ears.

I am really surprised that this set works so well. I a using it in my workshop and what a difference it makes! The reduction of noise from the tablesaw, miter saw, router, etc. is dramatic. I am very happy with the noise cancellation and have already recommended them to others. Great price and fantastic ear muffs!

WHY did I wait until I had Tinnitus in my left ear to buy these? My LOUD leaf vacuum has hurt my ear and it would have been easily avoided if I had bought these. I had an old pair of muffs but they were uncomfortable to wear so I neglected wearing them. These fit well, stay on your head and cancel the loud noises. Well worth spending the money before you hurt your hearing!!!

Look, you don't buy it for comfort or style. Get that. But I've had headgear at the range that was comfortable, and close to the head. If I was willing to risk my expensive electronic range gear down in my metal shop, I would. It's comfortable, the padding is first class, and it's light weight enough that there's no sweat.This head gear.... it not. It's stiff, the padding is stiff, and it's heavy enough that you will sweat. Just accept it.I have a metal shop. I heat and shape metals into jewelry, blades and parts. I cold grind and shape steel bar into blades and tools. It's not just loud, it's LOUD. You feel it in your head, if the hearing protection isn't top notch.That said -- this sweaty, stiff gear has better hearing protection than anything already in my shop, including much more expensive (non electronic) hearing gear. I was REALLY surprised at that -- I have name brand commercial gear that I expected this head piece to be a backup for -- and this one actually does a better job muffling my equipment. AND it opens enough for a big (I'm well over 6 feet) head.I just wish the ear padding was replaceable or swappable...

For the money they are comfortable and provide good noise reduction.

I bought them to help me sleep without having a Bluetooth connection to my brain like all the other sleep headphones and this thing is amazing! Blocks out all the snoring from my husband lol
