**Q: how do you use it?**
A: Best Corkscrew in the World (Clarkson voice...) and it's never let me down or broken a cork. It's actually incredibly simple to use... 1) twist handle to top of corkscrew. 2) place base of corkscrew on top of the bottle (check it's not a screw-cap first!) 3) allow gravity to 'flip' handle round into 'stop' position... i.e. the handle now cannot move down the thread - the whole section rotates as one 4) twist handle and rotate until the spiral screw (the pointy-bit) has fully entered the cork 5) now flip the handle round to allow the central threaded part of the corkscrew to go through the hole in the handle 6) rotate the handle in the same direction as before and the cork will rise majestically out of the bottle 7) do the gravity-release flip bit with the handle again once you have it all off the bottle and rotate, et voilá, the cork will be released from the corkscrew. Honestly, it may sound complicated but once you've got the knack, you'll never look back.

Read the reviews and bought for my partner whose favourite corkscrew had just broken. Thought would go fo a really good item as he opens lots of bottles of wine! Was quite diappointed as he did not like it at all and found it complicated and difficult to use. He reckons anyone with poor grip or manual dexterity would find it very difficult particularly as it has to be angled right. Having said that it does the job and he has not had any broken corks or unopenable bottles with it and has stopped complaining after lots of practice ! Mechanism seems well made and durable
