Nice water kettle, light weight, sturdy and boils water pretty fast.
Love this Trangia aluminum water kettle. It’s a nice size for two people to boil some water for tea, coffee or instant noodles. It has a nice tight fitting lid that remains cool if you grab it by the knob. It also has a nice stay cool handle, as it can be locked in the up position when boiling water, or in the down position if traveling or not in use. It’s quite light weight, and since it’s shape is quite squat and wide, you can put something inside it when not in use.The aluminum doesn’t seem to stain or get too discolored on the inside or outside. Soot seems to be easily wiped off. All in all a nicely well thought out design and build. We have used it nearly weekly since getting it and it is holding up very nicely. I do believe that there is a large size, but for us this is the perfect size for two people. And it is still actually Made in Sweden.

plastic knob melted
I changed my rating to 5 stars after a positive experience with Trangia customer service. I read the instructions to have the stove vents turned towards the wind and, not knowing better I also had the kettle spout turned towards the wind, steam from the kettle blew across the lid handle and it quickly melted. As you can guess, I've never had a kettle for camping before. The first time I boiled water in this kettle on the Trangia 27 alcohol stove, the plastic knob on the lid melted, even before the water was at a boiling temperature. I'm so disappointed, otherwise I love this little kettle, but I need a knob that won't melt.

Pretty good for what it is
As a lightweight backcountry kettle, this is pretty good. One of these kettles will last for years, even under moderate abuse. The price is good for the materials used, but beware, the handle cover will melt, even if using a Trangia spirit burner when a breeze shifts the flame towards the handle side. If you don’t have qualms about aluminum cookware, this is an excellent choice for a kettle.

A bit pricey, but a good kettle.
I've been using Trangia products since the 80's, and the quality is still as good as it was back then. I needed this small kettle to complete a cook kit I built into a Stanley lunch box. Fits great. So I've not used it yet. But it does seem as well made as one I've had for years.

Best small kettle out there!
This small kettle turned out to be the perfect size for my cook kit. Value is high, it is simple to use and does not weigh my pack down.
