I am putting these at the front of my house in full sun will they survive the heat. also what size pots do i need to buy. thank you kate

Mine is in full sun all day and is beautiful, even after 25 years. I bought this particular tree for my daughter, it was quite small and didn't look like much but having been in a middle sized pot, is doing very well. The pot needs to be changed as the tree grows. It will need a nice deep pot.

Can I have this outside over the winter?

Mine is planted in the ground, so always outside. Both my son and daughter have theirs potted but leave outside throughout the winter. The first year you just need to watch out for strong winds because the tree isn't that big and strong winds can blow the pot over. Other than that, outside is fine.

Can you keep this plant in the pot or do you have to plant it?
