Delightful product. 2nd one I've bought as well as a much larger one for steaming rice and vegetables. Alongside my air fryer these items have revived my use of the microwave. I'm really eating healthier, clean food, prepared in minutes. Tremendous little item, avoiding spitting and producing steam effortlessly

While visiting family in New Zealand, I noticed one of them using a Sistema microwave container, and I was instantly impressed by how simple yet clever the design was. When I got back to the UK, I discovered that Sistema products are available on Amazon, so I decided to try one for myself. I ordered the Sistema Microwave Round Bowl (915 ml) with Steam Release Vent — priced around £5, which I thought was excellent value for something so practical. As usual, it arrived the next day with Prime, and that’s always a big plus in my book. Straight out of the box, the quality stood out. The plastic feels thick, durable, and well-made, and the signature Sistema locking clips on the lid are solid — not flimsy like many cheaper alternatives. They click firmly into place and give real confidence that the lid won’t come loose while heating. Before using it, I gave it a quick wash, then tested it with some pre-cooked basmati rice. I added a splash of water, opened the steam vent, and microwaved it for just two minutes. The result? Perfectly heated rice, light and fluffy — and not a single bit of mess inside the microwave. I also really appreciate that Sistema uses BPA-free plastic, which is important to me, especially as someone who’s become more health-conscious since being in remission from cancer. It’s reassuring to know the materials are safe as well as durable. The rounded interior makes food easy to scoop out, and the bright colour means it’s easy to spot in the cupboard. It’s a small thing, but it adds to the overall sense of good design and attention to detail. This is one of those products that simply works — no fuss, no gimmicks, just smart design and reliable performance. I’ve already got my eye on a few other Sistema containers to add to the collection! Verdict: Excellent quality, heats food perfectly, and built to last. Highly recommended — Sistema really has mastered the art of microwave cookware.

Works really well, and honestly the only thing stopping a 5 star review is the durability of the plastic. It was sent in a lightly padded envelope and arrived scuffed on the outside, and quickly scuffed up inside too. It also stained the first time I did tomato soup. Still, it's really handy. Soup, beans, veg, tinned rice pudding etc all heat evenly and the handle always stays cool. Scrambled eggs works brilliantly and is genuinely easy to clean up. It seals properly and the 4 clasps hold the lid tightly. I'll definitely replace it once it gets *too* worn, either with another one of these or a higher quality version of this idea. Maybe quality isn't the right word, the plastic is free of all the nasty stuff after all, but less liable to staining and scratching. Definitely buy if you microwave a lot of tinned stuff, steamy stuff and liquids, it genuinely works as well as advertised which is a rarety these days. If it was made of more durable materials I'd already own at least one more. I'm still thinking of buying a few more Sistema microwave products, I just wanna see how this one holds up over time.

This thing is a total game changer for rushed mornings. Holds plenty for my giant oatmeal obsession, steam vent actually prevents the microwave apocalypse, and it cleans up stupid easy even when I let it sit. Red color is bright enough that I don't lose it in the sink pile. Still kicking after daily beatings no cracks, no weird smells. If breakfast is your weak spot, this bowl's got your back. Five stars, would yeet again. 😄

Having checked a lot of these variants, I took the plunge with this one. Have to say it's great. No problems at all. I used it to microwave chopped courgettes, and separately, chopped, peeled sweet potato 3 times a week. It is easy to use. Mine doesn't leak at all. Full marks !

I am a massive fan of Sistema containers, as they are so useful for our kitchen. I already had a soup and noodle container, but found it simply wasn’t enough, as they are both used daily, for reheating beans, or heating up spaghetti. We also use them in the fridge, when only needing a small portion of canned goods. I also use them for porridge and heating up garden peas. They keep food odour free and fresh, don’t leak when spitting up during heating and perfect size. Lids are very secure, so you don’t have to worry about them flying off with pressure build up and the vents are so helpful for releasing steam. Portable and the handles make them so easy to use. We couldn’t be without ours and ordered 2 sets to add to our collection. Highly recommend.
