i have used ecco for 10 years. good shoe at cheaper prices. perfect.

I have been buying ECCO shoes since 2009, my work colleague advised me to get a pair as my shoes which I use to buy from a Tall Mans shop kept on splitting after about 3 months of use. Once I bought my first pair, I was converted. The comfort of the shoes are great, the soles which are very good in wet or slippery conditions. And finally the wear and tear, most of my shoes have lasted over a year which is something I never experienced before with other shoes. I would definitely recommend them.

This is not the top end of the market, but nevertheless they remain nice shoes and reasonably good value for money. Recommended. They will wear out sooner or later and you won’t be able to re-sole them but they are reasonably smart and extremely comfortable.

Very comfortable shoes from first wearing. Perfect to wear all day at work. I cannot rate durability as it was bought a month ago:)

My husband's previous pair (also from Amazon) are still immaculate but the soles have split and crumbled to the point that the shoe reparier said that they couldn't be mended. If the seller could feed this back to Ecco, that would be useful. Note to seller - the wrong pair were sent (different style) but my husband is happy with them so we haven't returned them.

About 15 years ago, I bought a pair of half price Ecco Helsinki shoes. They were the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn. What's more, the Ecco Helsinkis lasted for years and years before the soles started to fail. When they did fail, I simply got them resoled, giving me years more use out of them. So, why 'Buyer Beware!' ? Well, I ordered a pair of Ecco Helsinki shoes 18 months ago, and now the soles have started to fail. I took the shoes to the same cobbler I used before, and he said he couldn't resole the Ecco Helsinkis. When I asked why, the cobbler said that he can resole shoes with rubber or leather soles, but not soles made of "that crumbly stuff" - i.e. cheapo, corner cutting, man made soles. I feel annoyed that such a great company like Ecco used to be, is now producing shoes of a lower standard than before. It's lost a future customer.

I ordered a 44 instead of my usual 43 and they fit perfectly (based upon other reviews and a previous pair that I owned).These shoes are however SECONDS as evidenced by the inner corner cut from each heel. I didn’t notice these in the pictures prior to the purchase and Amazon don’t mention this in the text which is underhand. I dislike the cutting of shoe heels as it cheapens the look when the soles are showing.The shoes fit me and do appear to be okay though and of good manufacture hence the 4 stars.

For years I have been looking for a comfortable pair of formal shoes. As soon as I put these on I knew I’d found them. Followed others advice and ordered a size larger and they fit like a glove.Can’t comment yet on durability but certainly look like quality shoes
