Travelpro Maxlite Air Hardside Expandable Luggage, 8 Spinner Wheels, Lightweight Hard Polycarbonate

Good so far, able to pack christmas presents + clothes for 2 and a bit weeks easily without even expanding the bag. Time will tell how it holds up, will update the review in 6 months.

I bought a Maxlite Air Large Expandable Hard Shell Spinner 78cm in May 2025. I forst used it on a trip to the USA in October. The case was full and expanded and had a strap around it. Despite the strap, when I collected the case at JFK, the zip had parted. I tried to contact TravelPro, but there is no number and when you are in the USA, the website defaults to TravelPro USA, which requires a USA telephone number. After an hour of going round in circles I gave up and went and bought another (proper) suitcase. However, I brought the broken one back to England in the hope of sending it back as not fit for purpose. Getting any sort of answer from TravelPro Europe was hopeless so I'm going to throw it away. Be warned!

Really nicely quality hard sides cabin bag. I selected 21 carry on which is actually 22.83 inches including wheels (58cm) This is too large for most European Airlines where the max is 56cm height, in the US I believe they are more generous limits. I am sending back as it’s not worth failing the airline sizers in Europe so they can change me 50 euro to check it

The colour is neither pink nor purple. It is described correctly so more my bad. Sturdiness still to be tested

From design to functionality, this luggage is simply perfect 👌🏻. I traveled across several places in Europe by plane and train, and it was incredibly easy to handle, thanks to the smooth wheels, even with the weight it carried. A must-have for any traveler! 👍🏼

Leicht, praktisch, qualitativ

I am a frequent flyer; International. I have used all of the major brands but none have held up like this Travelpro hard case. It’s one of the lightest hard cases in its class and with the zippered expansion, you can get a lot more packed and stay under the 50lb limit. I love that both shell halves are zippered as it keeps all of my belongings from moving around in transit and nothing goes spilling out when you open the case. The hardshell provides additional protection for my electronics and has stood up to years of abuse. My only complaint while minor, would be the fixed handles; I get that they are “low profiled” to prevent from catching on things but it makes it difficult and mildly uncomfortable gripping the handle. That said, you really only used those handles to load and unload the case from belts and scales. Most times you are wheeling it around by the telescoping handle which functions flawlessly. Amazing value and quality.

I love the colour-would have loved a more pink, but this was good! We were traveling on a tour and to Australia! It was prefect to fit above in the airplanes! It would never fit under seat!! It was the proper fit for air Canada airlines guild lines! I did lots of research! I even measured with my neighbors Monos case and it was the same size, but one inch smaller inside? That’s ok we think this case was lighter in weight! I fit 8 outfits, two extra shirts, 2 bathing suits, one cover up, one pair of dress shoes and fit my two clear silicone bags of toiletries 20x20 inches, which I bought on Amazon! Never got weighted at the airport and never got asked to open it! And we took 3 flights to get to my destination! Wheels are amazing no problems! Easy only when I put our backpack on top as they were heavy too. We packed a lot in this suitcase!

Beautiful colour, great quality, light, spacious, smooth roll, glad I waited for it to go on sale and it was available ! Originally I saw one at Hudson’s bay and they wanted over $600!!! Ridiculous. checked their website and they go for $220. So get it on sale while you can, def feels sturdy and high quality carry on.

As someone who has previously used the Travelpro Maxlite soft case, I appreciate the convenience of an external pocket for quick access to items. However, I recently switched to the Travelpro Maxlite Air Hardside 21" carry-on and have found that the hard-shell design offers more structure and protection for my belongings during travel. While it doesn't have an external pocket, the interior organization system is well-designed and maximizes packing space. Overall, I am pleased with my decision to upgrade to the Maxlite Air Hardside and would recommend it to other travelers in need of a reliable and structured suitcase.
