Is this kettle suitable for use in the USA

Yes as it has a universal voltage of 110 - 220v . Voltage in USA is 110v. It will need an adaptor plug as it is fitted with a British style 3 pronged plug.I have a hair-drier with the same universal voltage which I have used many times in the US and it works perfectly.

Amazon seem to be keeping the voltage a secret on this one, anyone know what the range is?

It officially works on both US and EU voltage. I've used mine on both 230v in Europe and works fine (boils in the time you expect a kettle to boil), and on 110v in the Canada and whilst it eventually boils it takes a really long time to do so (about 10 minutes from memory).

It is a durable Thermosetting plastic used in Formica, Dinnerware, Laminate flooring and Dry erase boards !
