I bought it after skydiving and paying more than this cameracost for a video via the jumpmaster's go pro. I didn't want to spend the bucks for abrand name model and the reviews on this unit were decent. I'm on the downhillslide to 70 so there's a learning curve for me just microwaving a lean cusine. Withthe help of some You Tube videos, I was able to figure out how to operate thecamera successfully. It went parasailing and snorkeling with me last week on acruise. It even picked up sound pretty well in video mode although it was in it'swaterproof case for both outings. I also enjoyed the wide view lens as an alternativeto my cell phone for photos throughout the trip.
