Little Monsters Rejoice!
I know reviews are meant to be coherent and objective but OH GOD I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH. I listened to it for the first time today, have played it through about ten times now without getting bored, and already know it word for word!It starts out powerful and doesn't let up - the first 6 tracks are undoubtedly the strongest, as Marry The Night (just gorgeous), Born This Way (beautiful feel-good lyrics and very bouncy), Government Hooker (kinky but amazing; does for this album what 'Monster' did for The Fame Monster), Judas (a club anthem about impossible love that hurts - not quite Bad Romance, but I've warmed to it thanks to hearing the single played again and again), Americano (THIS NEEDS TO BE A SINGLE!), Hair (liberating and sincere yet fun - Gaga all over), and Sheiße (a feminist anthem almost as fiery as Dance in The Dark: 'I wish I could be strong without somebody there/I wish I could be strong without this sheiße, yeah') are all stunning. There is a bit of a lull between this initial onslaught, the standout, cheery delight Fashion of His Love (very eighties and Kylie-esque!), and the 2 closing tracks which end the album with a bang; the Queen-based rock'n'roll tribute You and I, and of course the passionate Edge of Glory, but I'm sure the middle tracks will grow on me - they aren't bad, they just don't seem to have the same 'oomph' as the first and last few.I only have two complaints and they are minor - I was a touch disappointed that Gaga seems to have stuck with 90% club tracks here, which is a pity, because her softer vocal/piano efforts of The Fame Monster (Again, Again and Speechless) revealed an incredible diversity and really showcased her gorgeous voice, which wasn't drowned by club beats for once. I know she's at her finest and most comfortable with dance and upbeat tracks, but Speechless was one of my faves from TFM. My second complaint is that the swear words are cut both from the songs and the lyrics leaflet - this is ridiculous. Why don't they release an uncut version for listeners who don't want their music censored for them? This is an amazing second record from Gaga, and will solidify her as one of the greatest musical artists of the last several decades. She's a role model for following your dreams and being unafraid to be yourself, she adores her fans as much as they adore her, and her music is bloody good - whatever you say about her taste in clothes, you can't deny the sheer quality of what she's writing, producing, and performing.I'm off now to put You and I on constant replay.

Amazing!
Born This Way well may be the pinnacle of Gaga's career. Whether you like her music or not, you can't deny that she is without a doubt one of the most devoted artists out there, and this perfectionism and attention to detail shows in her music. Each track is perfectly produced, and every note is sung with a depth and clarity that shakes you to your bones. The record itself reflects this attitude as well - the cover art is simple, yet wonderfully effective at communicating the tone of the album (although the inside of the sleeve could perhaps be slightly better thought-out - it consists entirely of the somewhat campier picture of Gaga as a motorcycle which infamously adorns the CD cover). The music sounds wonderful, of course - each note is crisp and clear, and the tracks are all mixed to perfection. This record can stand as a model for pop stars everywhere, and a sign that they need to step up their game. Gaga is coming to snatch your weave and there's nothing you can do about it.

Glitter, pop, dance and rock all mixed up to make "Born this way"
Excellent full second album from Gaga!Im not one of these fans who thinks she can do no wrong as she is only human after all!But I must say, this album has no bad tracks on it! But I must say U + I does seem to replicate "speechless" from her 1.5 album "The Fame Monster"But apart from that, all the tracks are unique and all have their own charm, from the thumping bass line of "Government Hooker" to the catchy chorus of "ScheiBe" to the diamond of the album "The Edge of Glory" but my favourite track on this deluxe album is "Black Jesus + Amen Fashion"So if you want an album that your going to listen to over and over and over and still love it, this is the one.Highly recommended!!!

BRILLIANT :-)
I first heard about Lady Gaga when she released “Poker Face” back in 2009 in the UK.I’d already have Lady Gaga’s album “The Fame” Deluxe Edition. This album of Lady Gaga’s is a double CD set. It has 23 tracks in all and the last track is a bonus track. The CD booklet has lyrics to the songs plus there are some lovely still photos. If you were to ask me if I’d any favourites I’d have to say yes, (even though I love listening to the entire CD set), they are:- “Born this Way”, “Judas”, “Marry the Night”, “You and I” and “Edge of Glory”.Personally I think she has an excellent voice and does a great job with her composing. :-)

Pure Pop Ecstacy.
Gaga is an undeniable talent when it comes to writing a pop song she has her foot firmly on the peddle and continues to create great pop music which is good but not exactly groundbreaking or original in the vein of bjork or kate bush. So to born this way my overriding feeling is that shes definitely pushed things forward and dropped some of the sugary sweetness that was found on the fame and retained the darkness and edge of the fame monster whilst adding a more eerie self reflective element with alot more of the songs having an overriding theme and concept with the best results being the singles and Blood Mary but the major problem again comes in the shape of the albums theme with her first two albums there was an undercurrent of the aspect of fame that she didnt take far enough but with BTW the theme is rammed into places and becomes tiring and a bit tedious like we get it we are born this way and your ex is your judas etc and also some songs ovverun and lose their potency whilst others start slow and end on a high making for a complicated and overwrought listen but it is definitely far more interesting than the first two albums just not the perfect pop concoction she wanted or claimed but there is scope for more from her as is evident on BTW. So although not the best or most original album this year or any other its a great pop album full of catchy songs and just as good if not better than either of The Fames.
