I got this for my niece for extra security in her apartment and it gives great peace of mind. It’s sturdy, easy to adjust, and simple to set up. I actually bought one for myself back in 2023 and now I take it everywhere in my checked bag when traveling for hotels and Airbnbs. It’s a great added layer of security and very convenient to use.

Bought this for my son’s new house and it works perfectly! It is very durable, easy to use, and slip resistant on his hard wood floors. When he’s ready to use the door it is very easy to remove which then allows easy access to his door.

One of the best things I’ve ever gotten. I have a non lockable door that anyone could easily open but when I got this it firm locks into place and keeps anyone from getting in, and it is easy to put back in the box when you are not using it and want to store it away, it works great on carpet and hardwood floors would absolutely definitely recommend, you will not regret it

This door bar is excellent. It is made out of thick steel. It stays clean easily, the paint is sturdy and looks great a year in after many drops. It fits snugly on the door handle and makes me feel safer at night. The only real negative of this product is the rubber base could be made out of better, slightly tackier material to help it not slide if the door was under attack. It is made out of a very dry rubber. Still, it is functional. Another warning, if you have a dog and sit it next to the door in the mornings and your dog bumps into it, it will drop and make quite a loud smack. This happens to me regularly. Some considerations of note: -From my research, the base should be around 6 inches to a foot away from the door. Adjust accordingly. -If your door or door frame is weak, the door is likely to break before this product fails. You may need to make other adjustments to increase the strength of your actual door to get full efficacy. Good product for the price.

One day last week I woke to the sound of my cat, on my bed, growling low. He was staring hard at the stair landing, with his neck cocked, on high alert. It was 6am on a workday, a dumb time to choose for a b&e but I had to throw it together and go check. Nothing. Nobody inside or out. My next thought was that my boy had seen a ghost, as my very old house is part of a neighborhood built overtop of a civil war camp. I'm always getting asked if I've ever seen anything vaguely paranormal. Nope. But..., animals. My boy was freaked. At any rate, baby boy had calmed down by the time I got back (naturally) and I went back to sleep. When I (re)awoke I thought of how a sound I couldn't place had awakened me and baby boy several weeks prior, and I started formulating a plan for a security system and considering other security options, like locking the iron gate before bed and getting security bars for my doors. And I like these. They seem thicker and stronger than the others I've seen. I have one on a very low'pile carpet, one on a bare floor and a third on a painted floor and those doors are not opening. Next..., I should probably go check my attic....
