I'll only use it for weeding and carrying compost - I doubt it would stand up to severe stress ie: carrying logs, or swathes of top soil and bashed up branches. It would also be great for storing kids' toys and for using as an ice bucket for your BBQs and garden parties. A good purchase at the right price. Quality product, definitely recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful item *by M***Z on 12 April 2012* I bought this to assess size, colour and possibility of using for plants in the back garden. Most plant pots are so plain and drab in colour, so I thought these trugs may do instead if I could drill holes in the base. I found it was possible to make holes in the base using a large screw driver that had been heated over my gas ring - so that sorted that problem. The trug was also firm enough to hold compost quite easily and sturdy enough to use for planting. My only problem was this size was very large to fill with compost, and would be more suitable for plants such as fruit trees. So it became obvious I would need a smaller size for my tomato/cucumber plants - I have ordered several in different colours of a smaller size.
