A fun and easy light read.
A 'Taming of the Shrew' or 'Kiss me Kate' type story. An easy enjoyable escapist novel, with its heart in the right place.

I want to read more of her brilliant books
Tessa Bailey writes excellent spice! Her characters make me laugh, and there is little in this book not to like. The fake dating trope, or rather fake marriage trope, was in full force on this one. The banter was spot on, and so was the burn. But one of the things that sticks out in this book is how much the bad boy shows adoration for his love interest from early on. Tessa has a unique style, and although this is only my second of her books, her writer voice is perfectly formed, and I just want to read more of her brilliant books.

Just and ok read!
This was a decent read with engaging characters and witty banter. The storyline, while predictable, was still entertaining and filled with humorous moments. The chemistry between the protagonists was palpable, making their interactions enjoyable. However, some plot points felt rushed and lacked depth, which left me wanting more development. Overall, it was a fun and light-hearted romance, but it doesn't quite stand out for me.

The season of August
I didn't love Natalie in Secretly Yours but she is absolutely wonderful in this book! Her story is fantastic and these two are playfulness personified!

Tessa never misses!!
Every time I read another book by Tessa (and newsflash I’ve read them all!) I’m reminded of how wonderfully she makes me root for her characters. Unfortunately Yours has to be in my top three of her books, maybe even in first! August and Natalie are so incredibly written, so easy to understand and relate to. Their individual character development filled my heart with so much love and happiness. Tessa always brings the spice and this has some incredible dirty talk and spicy tension. This is easily my favourite read so far of 2023 and I was sad to finish it! I tried to not rush and stretch it out but I had it read in about 3 hours!! Roll on Tessa’s next one! My heart and mind are begging for it!!!

Completely obssessed
Unfortunately Yours by Tessa BaileyThis book was one of my favourite tropes, fake dating/arranged marriage, and that reason is the main reason for me even picking this book up but the trope was done so well, I couldn’t have asked for anything moreI loved that you could actually see them both gradually falling and it was so cute and emotional to go on that beautiful journey with themIt was so nice to get to know the characters in more detail after reading the first book in this series (can be read as a stand alone). I also liked that both Hallie and Julian were featured in this book too so it really did feel like a follow on from the first one with just a shift on who it is more focused onThis book was so easy to read. Such a cote romance book, I absolutely loved it.I still think about how cute and emotional the storm scene is in this book all the time because you can tell it’s one of the main points where she realises how deep her feelings for him really are

A most enjoyable read
Loved this. You know what your getting when you buy it and you know the ending but it's the getting there that's the best. Have ordered more. This is a good one to escape in and really enjoy plus you may learn a thing or two.

Need a dose of utter adoration?
August simply adores Natalie from day one. Over and over, he made my heart feel like it was coming out of my chest. It took a little while for Natalie to come around to August, but that made their love even more sweet because it was so hard won. Unfortunately Yours is entertaining and original. (There's nothing cookie cutter about Tessa Bailey's books.) Great love, great heat (best makeup sex ever), dashes of humor, a glorious happily ever after. The recipe for magnificent romance. I purchased the audiobook, and the excellent narration put the cherry on top.

Laugh out loud and superior witty banter- blush-worthy!
This was the most fun book I have read in awhile.I love vulnerability in my main characters and while August was a rough around the edges and tough ex-Navy SEAL, and Natalie clearly projected sharp edges and no nonsense, they both had such deep emotions and hopes and sadness they were carrying with them. Once they allowed themselves to show that to each other it was beautiful. Particularly August just seemed to KNOW what Natalie needed out of him as a partner. It was so sweet. If you have never read a Tessa Bailey book before just know that her steamy scenes and dirty talk should be the industry standard. Wow. These two characters nearly set my book on fire.I just felt like this was the first book in awhile where everything clicked for me. The character development, the dialogue, setting, plot…it was all just wonderful. It’s hard to believe that I really did NOT like the first book in this series (you can totally read this one as a standalone).

deutlicher besser als Buch 1
Was in Buch 1 an Magie und Spice gefehlt hat, hat Tessa Bailey in Buch zwei wieder gefunden. Hat viel Spaß gemacht, es zu lesen.

My new fave Tessa Bailey book!
📖 Unfortunately Yours by Tessa BaileyWhat I loved about this book:🍇 Napa Valley setting💍 Marriage of convenience☀️ Grumpy girl/Sunshine boy❤️🩹 Second chance❤️🔥 Enemies to lovers🔥 Tension and witty bickering🌶️ Incredible spice🐱 Reluctant cat dadReview;I absolutely loved August and Natalie's story! I read it in a day, as it was so hard to put down. These two characters start off attracted to each other, then loathing each other, before they both need to get married to solve seperate problems in their careers and lives. August clearly loves Natalie since the very beginning, but cannot get it right with her. He can't help but bicker and argue with her, and he knows exactly how to push her buttons. Natalie needs to get back to New York and revive her career in finance. She feels alienated by her family and feels such loneliness, it hurts to read.Their marriage of convenience soon turns into something really lovely and sweet and spicy. I loved how August just said what he meant - there was no miscommunication. He told Natalie how he felt about her and asked her directly how she felt about him. His lack of filter was hilarious and his honesty was so refreshing. It was hard to read about his past as a Navy SEAL and losing his best friend in the midst of it. Natalie was a cautious character and really struggled to let her walls down. I loved that she found it so easy to confide in August and that he was such a strength for her.I also appreciated that there was no third act breakup, there was just time for these characters to sort their shit out in time for a beautiful ending and an even more glorious epilogue that had me all emotional.Listen, I could go on about this book forever. The writing is wonderful, the characters were fleshed out and delightful. Their relationship, with the banter and the bickering, and the caretaking, and the SPICE (phew! Tessa Bailey and her dirty talk!) - I loved them and this book. I would definitely recommend this and reread it!
