Our Pastors recommended this book to us. When we first received it, I thought they were too short. But the discussion would get so lenghty, that we had to give ourselves a time limit. Lol. Our teenage son actually opens up and participates in the discussions and we let him close us out in prayer. He's growing so much and we're learning a lot about each other. I highly recommend this book for your family. Just stay consistent with your family devotions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great family time together *by L***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2014* I have kids ages 9 to 15 and we find doing this at the dinner table -- when we have a captured audience -- is working pretty well.Others may relate to my situation:My 9yr old girl always wants to answer the questions first.My 11yr old boy is the first to say, "Hey, we read that same scripture in Sunday School."My 13yr old boy is slower in processing information and is absorbing most of the conversation....thus he contributes very little.My 15yr old boy is too cool to participate and it's pulling teeth to get him involved.Some of the stories or examples have to do with teen sex (teen sex issues specifically and temptations, not necessarily sex within marriage), so I tend to read that outloud as "purity of mind & body". This allows me to apply it to all my kids and the things they are putting in the mind and doing with their body versus limiting it to teen sex issues.OVERALL: It's sparked some good discussion and, as a family, we've been reading a verse or several verses each session. I use it with our 10 and 11 year girls and do occasionally edit out more mature topics (mature, not unbiblical) as they aren't quite ready for that, but I don't have to do that very often.For some, the non-King James references may not be a big deal, but we believe the King James is as close to the original Greek and Hebrew as is physically possible so therefore we won't use anything else. On the occasions this happens in this devotional, I just look up the reference in my Bible and read it from there.Overall, if you are looking for a solid family devotional, this is it.
