I was going to get a soundbar but couldn't find one worth the price compared to getting a receiver and speaker package.I have bought an Onkyo TX-SR494 receiver released in 2019 to go with this speaker package and it has exceeded my expectations. The quality of the speakers is very good with really nice looking black wood housing and soft cloth.The subwoofer is finished in gloss at the front and attracts dust easily but looks very nice. It's an automatic sub which turns on when needed. This can cause a delay sometimes when the volume is low but it packs some punch. The specs claim a minimum of 27 Hz which is excellent for a subwoofer.The Atmos and DTS-X work amazingly well in my room which can be tricky so get right for some. I did a lot of research on how to get the best results for up firing Atmos speakers. Getting a receiver with a calibration mic and room EQ is important so that it will calibrate the speakers properly in regards to balance, delay, distance and decibels.I do advise that once you are up and running that you test with disc media such as Blu-ray. I have now started increasing my Blu-ray and UHD movie collection as you can really tell the difference compared to streaming audio such as Netflix and Prime.I don't have any real complaints about it at this time. Spending more will give you better quality of course but if you're looking to upgrade your TV speaker or soundbar then look no further. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am impressed. *by K***L on 23 October 2019* Very good item. Great sound from all speakers especially the Sub. Rear speakers tend to be poor in these 5.1 units but don't the lightweight of these fool you. Both loud and clear. The included cables are all you'll need, don't get bigger ones. The only small drawback, as has been mentioned by others, is the power saving Sub. If you are watching YouTube or voice only vids, then when there is no low freq, it'll power off. The minute a sub 80hz sound is generated on screen, it booms back into action. Auto so no need to change it and you cannot amend. All in all, very well packed and made to last. The atmos speakers need tweaking but an improvement on old 5.1, to 5.1.2. If you are getting an Atmos amp, get these.
