I’ve purchased this product at least four times by now, so I am not basing this review on an initial impression. I find that the tablet dissolves completely with no residue on my dishes or in the detergent dispenser. I do also use a rinse aid, as my dishwasher recommends (I use an environmentally friendly brand). I do not pre-rinse my dishes, but rather only scrape the food residue off. With few exceptions (occasional peanut butter spoon pointing down in the cutlery basket, I’m looking at YOU) I’ve had no problem with food remaining on my dishes. Even cookware cleans beautifully. The fragrance is not heavy or overpowering, and I don’t notice it lingering on the dishes. In fact, I’m not sure I notice it at all, now that I think of it. The product comes in a cardboard box, which is recyclable, and there is not a paper wrapper around each pod (as some brands have). No big plastic tub, as some of the more mainstream pod manufacturers provide, and no plastic jug of liquid to store under the sink. I don’t have a problem with the pods sticking to each other, but if you expose them to moisture I expect that would be a problem.

I used one complete box and I like the no waste/recyclable packaging. I like that plastics aren’t involved. The clean is above average, but cannot handle an extremely full and poorly loaded dishwasher. Cleans well enough that I purchased a second time.

I’ve been using Dropps for over a year now, and have been very satisfied with the way it works. However, the company recently changed the packaging from the sturdy box on the right, to t the flimsy one on the left. The pancaked form is exactly how it looked when I opened the shipping bag, with 2 pods smashed open. I get that the manufacturer m may be trying to reduce packaging, but the new package is not conducive to shipping. I will also contact them directly with my concerns.
