I love this purple toothpaste. I can't find it on Hawai'i Island and the price is great compared to the whitening toothpastes I find here. The taste is nice and leaves a tingling sensation in my mouth afterwards. My daughter didn't feel it, yet I do. In use this toothpaste in combination with Crest 3D White Brilliance 2 Step. The 2 Step is too strong for my daily use and this purple toothpaste does a great job of cleaning, helping with stains, and fresh breath. I love it and will subscribe and save on next order, if it's an option.

I am 60Yo coffee drinker, non smoker so you can get a feel for the color I started with. Not quite 1970s but a noticeable difference from my 10 yo crown. All I wanted is for my teeth to appear same color as the crown. After a week of brushing at night with it, my teeth now appear the same shade as my crown. I use my sensitive toothpaste in the morning and the purple at night so it’s not negated by eating. I’m super pleased and highly recommend. Also, it’s super minty so I’m not tempted to eat or drink after brushing with it. WIN WIN

It works fine as a toothpaste. I must say, however, that the fact that it's marketed purple made me associate it with the purple tooth-whitening paste Smile, which made me think that this product would have similar whitening effects. It did not. I feel like that was pretty disingenuous of the company. I mean, why else would they color their toothpaste purple? It's obviously trying to get customers to make this assumption. There's no reason to pay more for this purple version of their toothpaste. It's no different than the other crest toothpaste products. No dazzling whitening effect. Just cleans your teeth.

I love this toothpaste- low foaming, cleans great and does help with whitening but not as good as the strips- and I am an avid dental cleaner - you can ask my husband and son - I harp on dental hygiene big time. This toothpaste is great and would buy again - does not bother my sensitive teeth at all!

To call this product "white brilliance" is basically false advertising on Crest's part. This type of product will never by itself get your teeth brilliantly white. That's just not how it's scientifically designed to work. What it will do is decrease the level of yellow on your teeth. I don't have a card to get an exact reading, but I'd say it took a few shades of yellow off my teeth in a couple of weeks. After that, it's pretty much held steady and not improved any more. I use it twice a day and brush very thoroughly, so I'm not skimping. It's just the way this type of product works. Crest themselves admit in one of their commercials that no toothpaste actually gets teeth really white. There you have it from the company that makes it. They're telling you by their own commercial that this product won't get you to white. What it will do over the course of 2-3 weeks is decrease the yellow a bit and provide you some protection if you're a caffeine drinker like I am. I drink two cans of soda a day, and it was severely yellowing my teeth. I'd say this toothpaste brought me back to a more natural color and provides some protection throughout the day. I'll likely continue to use it for now for that reason while I decide whether to be one of the millions of Americans who bleach their teeth to a completely unnatural snow-white state. Just don't expect miracles with this product, or you'll be disappointed.

The tooth paste has a nice feel on the teeth. It has a fresh taste while cleaning your teeth.

OK I’ve read a lot about purple toothpaste and I didn’t believe any thing about it. In between the dentist visit, I was getting coffee stains. Last visit they said don’t use whitening toothpaste daily, My teeth and gums were fine, but she said long-term it’s better not to use it. she gave me Sensodyne for enamel said very good toothpaste. so I use it. I honestly didn’t think anything but figured try purple toothpaste. I looked at different vendors and decided to go with crest as it’s a good name brand. Buddy I can return if sucks. I tried last night, looked in mirror and thought na, brushed and OMG it was like bleach, my teeth got so white. I don’t really recommend a lot of of stuff but wow this is crazy. They teeth below and haven’t been at dentist 6 months.

This purple toothpaste is by far the best value pack/quality of any others I’ve tried so far. It definitely whitens teeth. Taste great. Even the children try and use it on occasion. When ordering this I definitely thought it was another gimmick. However I was pleasantly surprised with how well it cleaned my teeth, and my wife’s teeth. It leaves a super clean feeling in our mouths after using. It does make your teeth whiter over the course of a week.
