Greenfield Products Slip-Ring Anchor is a traditional lightweight fluke-type design with a sliding-ring for easy retrieval. The 669-6Z-WLM model is recommended for boats up to 16’. For holding power, lightweight anchors rely on simple mechanics, not weight. For an effective anchor system, use with anchor chain and ample length of line. Anchor chain provides downward drag and alignment when setting and holding. To maintain correct rope angle, or line-scope, a minimum 5:1, or 5’ rope per each 1’ water depth is recommended. The anchor is retrieved by backing your boat directly over anchor, which allows the ring to slide to the crown and release from the opposite direction.
