Simple, good value, switch
Works perfectly in proving the extra additional outlets for the devices we needed to be hard wired in via our Linksys router/node. No nonsense, straight out of the box fit at a fair and reasonable price.

Pretty much what you'd expect
This item works as described. Fanless 16 port switch - 8 ports with PoE. It's completely un-managed (which is sometimes a good thing with cheap brands, the VLAN stuff isn't always terribly secure/well implemented). It's thin and wide, with all the ports next to each other rather than stacked, so getting at them is realtively painless.Cons- Build is a little cheap, as you'd expect. It uses an external PSU. The blue power LED is blindingly, room-illuminatingly bright (a bit of insulating tape or breaking out the Lightdims helps). If this switch does what you want, it's a decent choice at the price. It's a pretty frictionless option, and I haven't noticed any real throughput issues (though I'm probably more bottlenecked by slow DSL and a small NAS right now at home). I'm pretty happy with it- if it keeps going, I'll be fine with it.

Great value 16 port POE switch
This is a great value switch with a decent PoE budget to share amongst the 8 PoE ports. I looked at countless versions and this was the top that I found, unless you go to double or even treble budget/price. This switch supports 802.3at (PoE+) hence allows loads of power to a single device, though cannot support this amount of power on every device. For 99% of users I expect this is fine, since 802.3at allows 25W of power for each device while realistically most will use 5-10W. The total (16/8PoE) switch can support 80W which is clearly 10W per device and should be ample of most people!Ok, there are no management features, but for most people that is overkill as this is best for a small end unit with all attached devices being flat. The one thing that management adds which is super useful, is the ability to power cycle the devices by cutting power and turning it back on - though from what I can tell this feature is not available on any switches under about £300-400.At this price and for the ease of installation its pretty unbeatable in my view.

12 months still strong
Currently 4 installed In the house. Plug and play with Giga bit LAN speeds around the house . We opted to hard wire as many devices in the house as possible. This provided a cheap effective way to do that. Our configuration is Google WiFi to a main switch then as many devices as possible to the main switch direct . With rooms with multiple devices this switch is installed . This system has been installed for 12 months plus with no issues. (. Switches added over the 12+ months period )This is a non Poe dumb switch so no configuration required .

Easy way to connect four network devices via one cable.
Needed an easy way to connect three computers and a smart TV to my sky router through only one cable. I read a couple of reviews on this Linksys five port network switch and decided to go with it. Turned out to be a great decision...Pros.Easy to install, definitely plug and play. Just plug in your network cables and the power supply and you're away.Fast. I haven't connected my TV yet, but my three computers, (one showing and recording four CCTV cameras) are all working fine.Decent construction, metal case with a blue power LED and orange/green activity LED's. UK power adaptor.Price. A tad under 20 pounds at the time of this review, a reasonable price for a decent piece of kit. Fortunately for me, I purchased an earlier design for just 10 pounds. The newer design is better though.Cons. Couldn't find any myself.Note. It comes with a CD, I didn't need or use it, just saying it came with one, that's all...

Worked straight out of the box
Always used Netgear switches but lately they seem to have an issue with my Mesh set up. I then needed to swap to a PoE Switch for my VOIP. Again tried a new Netgear and nothing but hassle. Was going to just forget it as thought the issue may be my set up. So I tried one more time and purchased this Linksys.100% compatible with my VOIP over POE and to just that but it seems all my little issues with the Netgear and the Mesh have disappeared.Well packaged and a nice little unit which appears well made and the info lights are very handy too. Will consider Linksys now for my future purchases.
