I did not have that problem. All screws seemed to be correct. The brackets sit on the Gobi bars a little awkwardly, but a lot of readjusting the tightness of each screw helped that. I might try to add some rubber padding between the bracket and bar just to be sure that it doesn't move. The issue is the fasteners aren’t the correct ones. You can’t tighten the included fasteners down as they sit in a counterbore.
