Any Other Brand Than This One
Terrible. Really bad quality materials, bad sewing, several manufacturer defects and worst of all the arm just hangs limp, looking absolutely ridiculous.

Solid durability. Is used a lot and still looks brand new!

Great item once design flaws fixed
I bought this item even though there were warnings about the design flaws knowing I have enough ingenuity to resolve the issues. The strap system does indeed suck. Preset holes with macho metal buckle. Seriously? As a result of the straps, the stick does hang loose. Also this is designed for large hanging heavy bags and is overly large in circumference. That aside - ingenuity. First of all, I do not use this as a duck stick. (Watch how you pronounce that, buddy!) Itโs more of a Wing Chun arm on a small freestanding bag. I adapted the straps with cinch Velcro. I folded the strap over a D ring and glued the assembly together with E600 plus odorless glue. Then I glued one sided cinch Velcro that sticks to itself. I stitched the whole assembly together with heavy duty waxed leather thread and carpet needles. (get a thimble!) Finally I Dremeled off the nasty pointy metal buckle prongs leaving the D ring in place. Just fold the Velcro side through the D ring and cinch tight. With this system I can pull it really really tight. It does not slide down or move. Once it is pulled that tight the stick stays upright and does not hang loose. Honestly a sharp metal buckle with preset holes that does not make a custom fit? Silly. Once this was done, the rest of the design is excellent. It took a lot of time, effort, and patience but the results were a perfect piece of equipment. I would film a damn television commercial for it and give it 10 stars if it came this way. Also for the manufacturer, they do make vinyl rings and buckles just as sturdy as metal. Overall I am glad I made the purchase. Good price, quality materials and craftsmanship, and aesthetically pleasing. It is exactly what I needed.

Don't buy.
Doesn't fit a standard size heavy bag. It needs more belt holes, and the arm is saggy.

Great concept, poor execution.
UPDATE 2024-02-19: After careful inspection and discussion with several people who do industrial-type stitching, we've collectively determined that it's not worth the effort to fix the problems inherent in this product's design. It would actually be easier to build an entirely new product from scratch than it would be to fix the problems present here. So I'm returning my purchase to Amazon for a refund. Original review follows. I've slowly been adding gear to my home gym to reflect my martial arts background so the ability to practice ducking and slipping while on the heavy bag was very appealing. In concept this attachment is fantastic. It helps keep you on your toes and always be aware of the bag's position and orientation, similar to if you had a training partner. The bar is what I would consider perfect length; it's long enough to effectively duck under but not so long that you're out of range while slipping. Construction is reasonably strong for home gear like this and I don't expect it to be a heavy wear item regardless. Unfortunately, the bad things outweigh the good. First let's talk about mounting. This attachment uses two-prong steel belt loops on one end, with a belt of nylon attached to a length of fake leather at the other. The steel belt loops are the first problem. You're mounting this to something you're going to be punching (and perhaps kicking) so the last thing you want is some pokey piece of metal on the bag just waiting to puncture your hand or foot. Yet, there it is. No matter how tired you may get, you need to be constantly aware of where that belt is lest you suffer a potentially serious injury. Furthermore, the belt is WAY too long for this application. I have a 100 lb heavy bag and, as designed, this attachment will not secure to the bag because the belts are simply too long. On the shallowest/tightest setting it doesn't even pretend to hold in place; it drops right to the floor. I worked around this by having my daughter hold the bag while I pulled the belt tight and then tied it around itself (wrapping around the metal buckle in the process for some added protection). It's ugly but it works. Also, it droops. The base of the stick SHOULD have had a large solid plate embedded in the "saddle" to keep it perpendicular to the bag, but it doesn't. The stick is 3" in diameter; the base is no larger. Therefore the only thing holding the stick in place is the stitching and the fake leather, and its weight is enough to pull the stick down about 10 degrees. With a 21" long stick that means the end of the stick is going to be several inches lower than the mounting point. If you don't mind "deep ducking" this might be a boon for your workout, but if you're going for speed and realism this is a hindrance. For me personally it's a problem; my heavy bag is hung from the low ceiling in my basement. I'm 6' tall and the top of my bag is about 6'3" off the ground, which means even when mounted at the very top of my bag the end of the stick is about chest height on me. That's a hell of a duck, lots of wasted motion there. I thought long and hard about returning this but ultimately decided against it because the concept is too good, IMO. The Amazon listing says it uses the metal buckle system because it "does not wear off like Hook n Loop closure" which is just a garbage excuse; I have a clapper target attachment that uses hook and loop closures and it's been absolutely flawless. I plan on removing the factory straps and replacing them with heavy duty plastic buckles and similar hook and loop enclosures to make it mount without jeopardizing my hands or feet. I also plan on opening the saddle and installing some kind of "extended base" to keep the stick more upright. I'm not sure how well this is going to turn out but I do know as it is now there's enough wrong with it to make it not entirely useful to my home gym, and if I can fix it then so much the better. Still, the product shouldn't require fixing to begin with. It's a great concept but poorly engineered.
