Good (large) carbon fiber leg tripod
This is not a bad tripod. For the $$ it is generally good. It is not especially light weight, it is not especially strong, it is not especially great quality. BUT! It is very good quality, it is prety sturdy if you use it properly, it is light(ish) and compact enough and the legs seem relatively sturdy. The ball head is good (a little above average quality for the Neewer range of tripods), it is smooth, and locks tight with multiple locking screws. Note: it does have a bit of "wandering" when all locks are set. I have a two pound Nikon P950 and used a 2.5 lbs Panasonic Eva-1 video camera and it wonders a bit when locked. So I would only use this tripod in a pinch with my video camera (not really a "video" tripod). I like the legs, they have been sturdy. I plan to use a different head that will remove the wandering issue and that should be a good combo. At full extension (which is pretty tall) it wobbles a lot, so I would not use it at the full hight. But that is to be expected as light weight means thin legs, and the like. The monopod system (remove a leg and there you have it, a monopod) is good and handy to have on had at all times. I think it is a better monopod than average. The locking system for the legs is ok. It is a typical twist lock type. They have clicks as you lock it, but not sure if that is intentional or not. Overall at the right price, this is a "not bad" carbon fiber legged tripod. For pro use, I would go elsewhere and pay the premium of pro. For prosummer use, I would recommend this tripod. For average use, this is a good, relatively light, good looking and sturdy tripod for the $$.

Elegance and comfort for your camera.
I’m very happy with this tripod! The build quality is solid and it feels stable even with a heavier camera. The legs lock securely and adjust smoothly, and the head moves easily for quick framing. Setup was simple and it’s lightweight enough to carry around on shoots. Excellent value for the price — definitely worth buying!

Best in Class
Many of the travel/compact tripods in this price range are way too short. If you're over 6 feet tall and filming yourself like me, a 5 foot tripod isn't going to cut it in a small space when you're standing. This is probably the largest you can get made of carbon fiber for under $200, and it does so while remaining fairly stable. If you are working in a windy area the hook for the sandbag under the middle section can provide even more stability. The tripod is light, but it's not overly light to the point where it will blow away, especially with a camera rig mounted. Build quality is excellent and the tripod head is removable if you want to replace it with a better one. I replaced the head with a Neewer GM001 fluid head and it's an amazing setup for video outdoors or in a small studio. There isn't much to dislike. The clips that secure the legs take some getting used to, but overall I hope to be using this thing for many years to come.

Nice tripod
I own several heavy Manfrotto tripods but wanted something to photograph the 2024 eclipse that could fit into my carry on bag without being too heavy. This tripod ended up being a bit larger than I expected, but with the cental column removed it just fit in my roll-on (it's not a super compact tripod). I realized after the fact that a ball head was a poor choice for an eclipse (live and learn...gear head or tracking next time), but otherwise the tripod performed well and kept a Nikon with 500mm lens stable enough for some great shots. For the price it's hard to beat this tripod . It's a nice large tripod that is quite light weight for its size and seems solidly built.

Excellent purchase except for one minor detail.....
This is a great tripod. It's strong, sturdy, and surprisingly light. What a difference from my aluminum tripod! I was able to carry it all day and when I strap it on the bottom of my backpack, it's light enough that i know it's there, but it isn't wearing me down with the weight. The legs are sturdy and a huge plus is the one leg that turns into a monopod. That leg is designed to attach a ball head of your choice as it has the standard screw. The only problem I have with this it the attachment plate to the ball heard. The Manfrotto system is a system that once you lock it in, you can hear the snap and know for sure that the camera isn't going anywhere. The Neewer's plate is a screw on and when I looked at the connection it looked very sketchy and I didn't have the confidence that the camera was locked in place. So I had to swap out the ball heads to the Manfrotto ball head to feel secure the camera was locked in. That is the only complaint I have with the tripod. Other than that, it's a solid purchase and I highly recommend this one. Especially if you're on a budget where these things can upwards of $400.00.

Great value
It’s heavy duty/heavy. My other ones weigh a few pounds. This is probably the weight of both put together. That is what I wanted. It’s sturdy. It’s all metal. (Minus the foot stops which are rubber). I was looking for a tripod to stand up to the wind out here. This is good enough I probably will not need to sand bag it. For reference I often have to fight 30+mph winds on a sunny day. I set it up last night in the wind on the porch and it didn’t budge. I don’t have to worry about it toppling over. Everything moves. It’s all adjustable. I will be able to multi use it with my teleprompter as well.

Love the extra height.
A few things—it’s tall (675 cm/205 cm) and a bit pricey for a beginner, but the stability and versatility make it worth it. Great for hikes, vlogging trips, or anywhere you need a reliable, travel‑friendly support that does more than just stand there.

Rock-Solid Tripod That Punches Above Its Price
I’ve used a lot of tripods over the years for both photography and guitar video content, and this one immediately impressed me with its stability and build quality. The carbon-fiber legs feel incredibly sturdy yet lightweight, making it easy to carry around the studio or on location. Once everything is locked in, there’s zero wobble, even when I’m mounting heavier gear like my Sony ZV-E10 with a wide lens and field monitor attached. I would have liked to have seen a handle for tilting just because when I'm sitting or using a guitar I have to set it down or rely on a strap to rejig the tilt. Not a major issue by any means though. The telescopic two-section center column is smooth and secure, I haven't seen any slipping or creep over time. The twist locks feel premium and hold firm, and the ball head movement is fluid enough for panning shots without any jerky motion. It’s also clear that NEEWER put thought into the small things: rubberized grips on the feet so it doesn't slip on my hardwood floors, precise level markings, and an overall finish that feels professional. It easily competes with tripods that cost twice as much. Highly recommended for anyone shooting videos, time-lapses, or detailed content where stability matters. This is a great choice, I'll likely buy a second when I look at more multi angle shooting.

unbeatable value
I connected a small video head to these, and I have a great light weight tripod at a crazy price. Time will tell if these will last as I use them every week to shoot weddings, but my initial impression is they're well built and go much taller than I had pictured. Comes with a nice travel bag too which was a nice touch. Neewer to the rescue once again!
