My guinea pigs like this enough that they take great care with it, so it will last.
I finally got this great plastic accordion type tube for my 2 guinea pig boys. I had been buying cardboard tubes (shorter) for them and they loved those but they did not clean well, mostly my guinea's could use them for 1 week then I had to throw those away. Too expensive to keep doing. So thought I would try this. I have a larger male guinea pig and a smaller guinea pig baby who LOVE this tube. I curve it around their large playground that they live in and I can hear as they play thru it, to me it is the sound of my 2 boyz having fun! They chase each other thru, they pass each other in the tube, they lay in it, they like to be fed their salad at the end of the tube so they can hang out inside the tube and eat from their repurposed tv dinner plastic plates. I put in an extra large pillowcase, cut down the middle and put it thru the tube so I don't have to scrub the poop out much any more. They try to keep it clean with the cloth on the floor and they don't pee in it either, so they like it enough to want to make it last. Their yard has this tunnel, the pigloo, a cone shaped teepee with a round hole they can hide in and chew on, and a pineapple and a 'pup tent' I drape over their large fencing, hanging over the side with a large 'softy throw' they each roll themselves up in that to sleep. They have the most fun I have ever seen 2 fellas have together and not fight. This tube purchase was just the right item to finish out their large playground they live in every day. It makes me smile when I hear the sound of the tunnel being used day and night.

Great product but think hardware store!
My rat loves this. I love it because I can wash it out completely. My rat sleeps, eats, hides etc in this. It pretty much is an end all rat toy/habitat. But 30 inches is just not all that long so, like many others, I wanted more. Turns out this tunnel is just not all that different than the drainage tunnels you can get at any hardware store-- In fact the stuff I got at the hardware store is perhaps better because it has little drainage slits all through it with probably makes it more comfortable and certainly doesn't let much rat pee sit. (although my rat is trained to a litter box-- no great feat this training. #1 use a plastic container like what ground turkey comes in. #2 put a litter in it that is different from what you use other places #3 KEY. Put a rock in it. Turns out rats love to pee on a rock. #4 when you change the box do not wash the rock! Just put it back in the litter box. That's it---your rat is now trained). Anyway, the drainage tunnel is a little firmer and does not hold a corner when you bend it so you might have to tie, brace, or clamp it if you want it to wrap around a corner. Not a biggie. But it is much cheaper and you can get it long enough to wrap around your cage a dozen times. (might not every get your rat out, however :)

Our ferrets love it - but expensive!
We have two kits, a boy and girl. Right now both of them can easily go through the (medium size) tunnel and have a BLAST going in and then the other will try to guess which side the other one will emerge from - and pouncing on each other as they come out of the tunnel. We can twist it and turn it and make new shapes and they just go nuts playing with it.But why on earth is a short plastic tube so expensive? I would love this if it were maybe 5 or 6 feet long. But for 2 1/2 feet it seems pricey. There are other options out there and I'm going to try some of them - but I will still give this four stars because it has held up well (even a good bit of chewing and biting hasn't destroyed it yet) and the ferrets LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this thing. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate, your ferrets will love it!

My hedgehog, and dachshund love it!
This tube is great. Both inside and outside it's worked in all kinds of weather for all kinds of occasions for multiple species of animal! My hedgehog will spend hours pushing and pulling paper towel rolls in and out of it with his face (super cute by the way), whilst my wife's miniature long-haired dachshund makes this tube a "burrowing", and speed bullet project. It's light and packable/bendy enough that you can take it with you to the park, or store it in a closet. Frankie, the dachshund, when she was a pup DID go after chewing on the end of it as we were training her. As I said it IS durable enough all sorts of weather, and you can hose it out, or off it gets muddy/poopy, BUT it's thin enough that it didn't damage our pups mouth. And once we had her trained and she was done with the mindless chewing I was able to scissor off the 2 inches at one end that she'd gnarfed to death with a just a pair of basic scissors! 2 inches shorter, but good as new, AND our pups mouth was not harmed in the making of this review! Ha!

Better for less active chewers
The tube is a good length and it’s easy to shape to your enclosure but if you have heavy chewers I wouldn’t recommend it. My hammy shredded at least two inches of it in less than a day. It’s super easy to clean, all you have to do is extend it out all the way and spray it out with a hose.

Hamster LOVES it. But be careful if you have a chewer.
Great bendable, extendable tunnel. First of all, if you were one of those kids that loved playing with your bendy straw, you're going to love this. It's like a giant version of the bendy part of a straw. Makes the fun sound too. :P As for my hamster, she loves this thing. A little too much. She liked running through to get from end to the other in her bin cage. BUT if you have a chewer, I would probably not get this. It has lots of lips for them to easily begin chewing a hole. In one set up, I put the tunnel in the corner and she literally lived in it for like 2-3 months until I cleaned the cage. She not only jam packed it with fluffed up paper bedding, she chewed a HUGE chunk of the tunnel off in attempts to make an exit underneath as she enjoys digging in her bedding to get around. (My hamster doesn't chew on anything, but even she did this.)

Guinea Pig loves it but not so easy to clean
We have a guinea pig and she loves this tunnel. She chews it up though, and her poop gets caught in the crevices making it harder to clean.

would be ok if properly advertised
Unfortunately the length was incorrectly advertised as 40x4 inches. It was actually significantly shorter. Returned for a refund

Edges becomes sharp when chewed
I bought this tunnel for my guinea pigs a few months ago. My piggies love it, but one day one of my pigs had a cut on her nose (see pictures). I was looking in their cage, and concluded it was this tunnel as there was nothing else sharp (I take very good care of them and their living space). On both ends, my piggies had chewed it and the edges had become jagged and sharp (see pictures). After removing the tube, my piggie's nose healed quickly and has been fine since.I would not recommend this product. If you want it, then only use it when supervising yours pet(s). If they start to chew it, take it away.I would like a refund because this tube is garbage to me now and cannot be used safely.

Rats love this!
This tube is awesome. Twist it and turn it to place anywhere in your cage, only limited by your imagination! My rats absolutely loved this edition to their cage, keeps things interesting because I can easily move it around to keep them from getting bored. Take it out to wash, zip tie it to the bars, they ofcourse will chew it, still works just fine, now just has some ventilation holes.
