fireside chair 7years old is fire retardant, would heart foundation take if label glued on the base?

Not glued. It needs to be tied on. Also depends on the person collecting..some aren't bothered and others want everything perfect.

as it has string you would need somewhere on the chair to loop the string through to tie it on, cannot see anywhere on an upholstered chair, any ideas

I believe once it’s on the chair itself it’s all good to go. Could always stick it under the cushions or behind the chair
