Swarovski Attract stud earrings, Square cut crystal, Small, White, Rose-gold tone plated

When I opened the box the earrings looked beautiful but when I came to get them out to check them thoroughly they were plastic backed which in the photos and description it does not show this or mention anything about being plastic backed so I was really disappointed as they just don’t quite look as beautiful now ,I’m now wondering if they are fake ,and as they were supposed to be a present to my friend I’m not exactly going to give her plastic backed earrings as it just makes them look cheap so I’m not happy about these at all .
