The only way I know it's on is the heat. Also, I am all natural grey and it gives my hair elasticity, and feels soft after a deep conditioner or hot oil treatment. My grey hair is difficult to keep moisture and this helps stopped the breakage.

Hair should be wet i usually wash my hair then put homemade conditioner i made on to my hair , and then add the provided bonnet it comes with which they provide 2 in the box then put the steaming cap over the bonnet and select my desired steam setting and time frame.
