An excellent energy gel with great consistency and flavours
Switched to GU gels from High5 six months ago and prefer the GU consistency/flavours and I carry fewer of them. I use one every 45-60 minutes during a marathon and don't get the sticky residue on my hands and clothes that I got with lighter, sugary gels. The Vanilla Bean and also the Chocolate Outrage are two of my favourite tasting GU's but Lime, Strawberry and Salted Caramel also very pleasant. Great product.

Yum, & they work.
These are great. Previously used SIS which were a bit more watery and didn't 'last' as long. First tried them as were at the pit stops on the silverstone half marathon. The GU ones are quite thick, bit like piped icing going onto a cake. Taste great without being sickly, recommends around every 45mins so last longer than others do. Overall very pleased

couldn’t run a marathon without them
Have used an abundance of different gels in my time running. Gu are for me up there in the best category. Great taste, not to sickly like some other brands, have used them consistently to get over the tough barriers during a race.

like trail marathons and half marathons
Used them mainly for longer distances, like trail marathons and half marathons. Chose to give them a chance after reading that it's a favourite of top marathon runners and liked that they contain the 3 amino acids vital for muscles. The added Caffeine gives you a little boost, for those moments when you start loosing motivation. Taste if good as well, not causing any stomach upset. A bit thicker than the other gels I was used to.

Go for Gu!
Love GU as the brand, though they are quite chemical.. most of these gels are. However not a fan of the Vanilla flavour. Which is of course pure taste, you might love it! If you need a carb/sugar boost on the go, go for Gu!

Just what I needed for the London Marathon!
I tried out several different gels on my long runs and these are the most tasty and least gag-reflex-inducing that I tried. You need to have water straight away afterwards, or you will end up with a sticky mouth, but they are quick to take and effective.
