Great beginner box goggle.
These work great as a beginner box goggle. The goggles have true diversity which is great. The DVR and overall ease of use are the best parts about these goggles. Another great feature is the fact that you can slide the screen out from the lens and mount it on a tripod or lean it against something to view that way instead. The one issue I've had with the goggles so far is the battery dying on me after about 2 cycles.I am not sure what the issue was, but Eachine is awesome and are sending me a new one now. As a temporary replacement, I have removed the internal battery and I am using the supplied cable to power the goggles via a 1100 mah 3s battery. This cable makes it easy if power if the internal battery dies while in the field. (Be careful not to over discharge your batteries this way, as there is no battery meter when using an external battery with no internal battery.)Also, I have glasses and find these comfortable to use without my glasses on and I can see the screen just fine. I am nearsighted if that helps anyone.

Has its problems, but imo its the best for this price.
Its cheap...and well...kinda cheaply made also, but it will be all you need for a long time as you're getting into the hobby. Going to fatshark is a good upgrade that allows removable modules like the HD3...but, it will cost you $400 and then you need to buy your modules...after you've got your modules and a battery...whatever else you will need you're getting close to $500-$600. Personally I like how turn-key the EV800D is for now and I will upgrade to a fatshark eventually but so far I've been very happy while getting into the hobby.

NO lag and amazing recievers. Best in its price range
Excellent goggles. They dont lag when you use the DVR like the knockoffs made by "ls" and "makerfire". Even with my crappy drones weak signal, these are able to pick it up just fine without lag. These actually have 2 recievers (true diversity). The recievers are really good ones too. They are both r5808 recievers instead of the crappy recievers you get on other goggles in this price range. A pair of nice fatsharks might give you 20% better range, but they also cost 3 times as much as these. These goggles are all about bang for your buck. They serve that purpose very well. The only minor issue seems to be the battery indicator. It thinks the battery is much lower than it really is. If it says its low after only 10- 15 minutes just ignore it. It actually lasts about 60-90 minutes which is plenty for me.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!! EXCEPT THESE GOGGLES :]
I purchased the 40$ cheapo goggles an amazon just getting some FPV stuff together and trying to save a few dollars in the process. they claimed to be diversity.....guess what!? they WERE NOT!!! after days of trouble shooting and replacing parts that i suspected to be the issue..i decided to do some research and watched some YouTube reviews on all available goggles.. FOR THE MONEY, the Eachine EV800D goggles are the best you can get before you get into the extreme expensive brands. All of my video quality problems went away as soon as I powered these on. the antennas that they come with are amazing, but i did switch them out for a Foxeer lollipop and tripled feed patch. you can switch between true diversity, or single antenna. and the dvr recording works really well. I'm glad that i bought these goggles and i defiantly recommend them to any one new to the hobby or looking to upgrade. spend the extra money. its worth it to actually have a decent live feed while flying. video cutting out will send your grown up toy directly into the ground. Trust me... Buy these and get it over with.

Much more bang for your buck than fatsharks
These fpv diversity goggles with dvr are great. I mean unless your on the racing circuit or just have money to spend go with these. I own many and these are my favorite every day goggles. Dvr is great quality and I could even slide the frame of my reading glasses into the frame of the goggles. A little foam was needed in my situation on the nose area but that's an easy fix for me. All in all still to this day the best over all box goggles available.

4.8 stars out of 5
I dinged it because the video out doesn't work. This is the 2nd one I've tried, same results. I've tried different laptops, tv's and cable, same result; color lines then turns blue. I have a cheaper set of goggles with lower resolution and the setup works great. Other than that, I like the FOV, clarity, changing of the channels separately. The weight is fine and you can hook up an external battery if the internal doesn't last long for you. I'm also able to take the sides off of my glasses and fit the glasses in, that works great. I'm not sure if that was the design intent or not. I would recommend. If anyone has any ideas on how to get the video to work, let me know.

Great bang for the buck.
Bit of a pain to fit the straps but surprisingly comfortable.Display is sharp for what it is - honestly most FPV drones do not have video exceeding the capabilities of this display.Scanning was a bit iffy - it seemed to quit and I had to fiddle with the channel/band to get it to work. But it did lock on the proper channel unlike some that find the next one over resulting in the video tearing. You won't be able to wear normal glasses with these. Good news is I could see and focus on the humongous screen no problem. It might be an issue if the video was HD ;)Haven't used the battery enough to run it down - I will update with more use.

Good value for this price-point
The only dis-like I can pin on a LOT of goggles... they just don't (can't ?) fit ever face shape.Pros-- built in battery has really good life. The DVR is first rate. This seems to have about every 5.8GHz frequency there is. Channel search works fine. Not sure how to really test the dual diversity, but a 400mW VTX kept a clean image at about 200 yards.. on a ground R/C truck. Even on other side of house the image was sketchy but drive-able. The front eyepiece is removable and there is a standard camera mount female there. It can be used that way and image still looks great. Might make a cardboard sunshade for it. Bought a second one for a gift.
