Kool-Stop Supra 2 Dual Compound

I'm restoring an old Schwinn bike with center pull brakes. They are notorious for being hard to adjust and weak. After trying other pads I turned to these which work very well on my hybrid bike with V-brakes. I haven't done an outdoor test yet but indoors these grab the wheels strong enough that I can no longer turn them by hand with the brakes applied. That’s a huge improvement, especially for the rear wheel! I think they will perform well out on the road based on the excellent results I've had with them on my hybrid bike over the years.

I wasn't sure about which one of the Kool Stop brakes to purchase that would fit my bike. I thought I would try calling Kool Stop and Tim answered the phone, I was very glad someone answered. He said take a picture and email it and he has a better chance of getting the correct brakes. I sent the photos, the very same day he recommended the Supra 2. Perfect fit. Good smooth braking. Excellent customer service. A+ all the way.

I slapped these things on my drift trike because I didn't wanna spring on disc breaks. I can do endos on it with these and that's pretty extreme

These things will haul you down!

I put a pair of these on my E-Bike today and WOW what a difference they make. I'm so impressed I just ordered a second pair for the back wheel. These really have some great stopping power with very little pressure needed.I've never changed brake pads before but all you have to do is get them close then loosen the nut and apply the brakes to align the shoe then tighten the nut.
