Statistical Physics of Particles

I Liked this book very much It's a Mathematically Rigours book just as Theortical Physicist wants! I personally combined this book with the lectures (i know it's a lecture notes) still that gave me more information and clearance! You can check the contents in the book posted by other reviewers!

No doubt this book is unavoidable when it comes to solid understanding of statistical physics of particles. good number of exercise and solutions are available online. so no need to struggle for solutions. Good one for graduates.

Helpful, especially the problems. Could be a little more explanatory in the theory part.

1.Excellent book,Concise and comprehensive. 2.Only reading the text will not be very sufficient one must solve problems given after each lesson since they are complementary to the theory. 4. Many people find it bit challenging due to insufficient mathematical physics , quantum mechanics , thermodynamics,and classical mechanics knowledge. 5.Explicit calculation while deriving theory is not given ,so one must do the important calculations to convince himself that author is correct,and most importantly, to follow the consequences of statements. 6.Kardar's lactures on statistical mechanics of particles and field is available on MIT OCW and YouTube.In these lactures he follows this book.
