Q: What is the copper gauge of each of the 2x4mm² cables? I suspect the 4mm² rating includes the coating

From looking at the diameter of 4mm, this corresponds to Awg 11. THIS IS THEIR BIGGEST. Others will be less. If you are running wire from amp to speaker more than 30 feet, use the BIGGEST gauze you get get, 10 gauze will run signal easily for more than 100 ft. Hope that helps.

Q: I need to replace normal, standard black / red speaker-to-speaker cable for mackie cr4bt monitors. i'm confused by all size options. please advise?

15m is the cable length, so, when divided, it is suitable for a pair of speakers up to 7.5m from the amp. The cable is two core (polarity identified), so not suitable for true bi-amping, although you can make up bridges using short pieces of this cable as I did. 1.5mm is the diam of each multistrand (about 70strands?) copper core. I drive Q Accoustics Concept 20s through QED Silver Anniversary XT cable in the lounge but use this KabelDirekt for the Celestion Fs in the dining room. The KD cable is excellent value (7m of terminated QED was £108!), the bass and treble are adequately balanced (although I do have a sub in the lounge) flatter section and more flexible than the QED which was useful when I was routing under the floor.

It's only single you need to cut the right length for your speakers. So buy the right length!

Q: Can you tell me what AWG this cable is?

Mine is 2.5 mm.you can purchase 1.5,2.5 ,or 4.0. I fine 2.5 most suitable for most good quality speakers. This is an excellent product buy it.
