Call Me Walt: Everything You Never Knew About Walt Disney

I always look forward to each new Jim Korkis book, but this book is one I've been wanting to see published for many years. There has been so much misinformation and outright lies published about Walt Disney over the decades since his death that it is nearly impossible to understand just who Walt Disney was ... until this book! Thank you, Jim, for the sincere and accurate efforts you made to show your readers just who Walt Disney was. Anyone who is at all interested in WALT DISNEY, THE MAN should read this book. I got a great deal of information and entertainment from reading about the various facets of Walt Disney's life. I especially enjoyed the DEBUNKING THE WALT DISNEY MYTHS section. This is now one of my favorite books in my personal library!

This is an Excellent book about Walt Disney. The layout is so interesting. Learning about Walt Disney's family members, the places he lived, his limited formal education, jobs he had prior to forming his studio, it is all here. Quotes from people who knew and worked with him. Jim Korkis has done his research and puts so many myths to rest. If you only read one book about Walt Disney make it this one. If you want to know all about Walt Disney without any speculation or conjecture read this book. I cannot recommend this book enough.

After reading this book, I feel like I have received a fair assessment of Walt Disney's personality and character. Walt Disney was a brilliant man that like all of us had his flaws. Korkis' book discusses his flaws without the tabloid treatment so many other authors resort to in describing his life. Korkis also discusses Disney's strengths without sounding like a PR agent trying to hype a client. Overall, I think you will find this book to be an interesting read about one of the most important entrepreneurs in the history of the entertainment industry.

Jim has once again provided us with insight to Walt Disney the person.In a time when the media would like to fill us with “maybe” stories by people who never knew Walt, leave it to Jim to go to the people who worked and associated with Walt to get to the truth.This book helps Disney fans get to know more about Walt and belongs on every fans bookshelf.

Jim Korkis has probably the best insight as to who Walt Disney really was. This book is proof of that. For true fans of Walt Disney, this is an insightful and detailed biography, yet in Jim's words, not comprehensive, only because you can't contain Walt's life in one volume. It's a must have for Walt's fans. I highly recommend it! Easy to read and powerful!

A Jim Korkis book is always a great addition to any Disney Enthusiast book collection.

Korkis' literary work both humanized and defends Walt Disney's legacy as storyteller, family man, and all loving human being. Disney's life is a wonderful standard for movie makers to meet. He respected everyone.

This is a collection of "random" facts about Walt Disney's life that is breezy to read for fans of Walt Disney. There is no real rhyme or reason to much of it, but the book becomes a home for these odds and ends. If you really want to learn about the genius of Walt Disney, you're best to start with one of the many acclaimed biographies available. If you want more than that, Jim Korkis is an excellent source for well-researched and well-written articles and stories in his many books, especially the Vault of Walt series of books.
