Essential for FCP Editors!
I absolutely refuse to edit without this FCP shortcut guide keyboard cover. It’s been a game-changer for my editing workflow. The shortcuts are clearly labeled and easy to read, which speeds up my editing process and reduces the time I spend searching for commands. The cover fits snugly on my keyboard and stays in place without any issues. If you’re serious about Final Cut Pro editing, this cover is a must-have!

Been wanting one for years
Not sure why I never bought this but I wish I had when I first thought about. Since I use both Mac and other computers it’s easy to forget where to find some of the features. Laying this on my keyboard makes it a breeze!!

If you edit in Final Cut Pro, this overlay is fantastic
This overlay fits my Macbook Pro M2 perfectly. It lays down on the keyboard very well so that it doesn't slide off or displace when I close and move my Mac (which is every day). When editing with FCP I am really happy to have the prompting for the commands per key, also with modifiers (Shift, Command, Control, and Option). It is a great tool for TEACHING me to shortcuts, as the more I use it the less, I need to look, or just glance quickly to verify. It also doesn't block me from seeing that the shift key is on/off (nice addition). It does block the backlight on the keyboard so using the computer at night is difficult, i wish it would somehow be able to let the backlight thru (of course while not showing the keys thru, lol). I also remove it when I am not using FCP as it makes it more confusing for me just to type on the keyboard normally, the KEY labels themselves are hard to read (maybe make them neon or something to stand out more.PROS:great fit and very helpful FCP labels including key modifierscolor coding is intuitive and easy to learn for "types" of commandscaps lock light gets thru the overlaywonderful tool for learning the key shortcuts for FCPCONS:if you are not a touch (sightless) typer, makes it confusing to type normally on keyboard (I remove it)renders the keyboard backlight all but worthless (of course has to to do its job, but still annoying)Other reviewers have said that some of the shortcuts are incorrect. I did not experience that, but I think it will depend on the version of FCP you are using. Apple doesn't often change shortcuts in new version, but it does happen on occasion. I am using version 10.6.9

Good can be better.
Different color coding are intuitive yet I feel confused as I can't see the letters. So typing normally bcoems deficult.I would suggest strong design changes so that recognising alphabets will become easier.Quality is good, feel is good.

Practical
Fits nicely and helps learning the short cuts to help build the muscle memory. Also doubles a dust cover.

Fits like a glove and helping me increase editing speed in FCP
I have a 2021 MacBook Pro 14 M1 and dove into the world of Final Cut Pro X earlier this year. I am mostly learning how to use FCP through YouTube videos and you often hear the creators mentioning the keyboard shortcuts while they are performing a task. It's one thing to hear the shortcut combination, but quite another to use something regularly. That's where this nice keyboard cover fits in.I need to increase my editing speed and this keyboard covers helps force myself to learn the shortcuts. Once you figure out the schema, it's really helpful (side note: a 1-pager in the packaging would have been nice to explain the color groupings and how the combinations are represented - presumably this product is not being purchased by professionals who already know the content). My MacBook Pro spends 90% of it's life connected to a docking station on an elevated stand, so that I can use two 4K monitors and my external bluetooth keyboard/mouse. It's nice that this cover also has a secondary purpose to keep dust off the MacBook. This isn't really a complaint, but on the downside, I have to actually use the MacBook Pro keyboard, meaning I have to pull it off the stand and forego my external keyboard. Obviously, this is just a temporary phase until I get the shortcuts down pat, but I'd offer a suggestion to JCPAL to make a cover for a standard keyboard - perhaps the most popular keyboard from Logitech, for example.

Works very well for the short time I have used it
I wish I had more than 10 hours on this so I could say whether it will stand up to constant editing. :/So far it works quite well for those who don't have all the shortcuts memorized.
