As you would expect, it's quite blade heavy and takes a certain amount of strength and stamina to use it for any length of time but should deal with brambles and other undergrowth easily. Review: Poor quality - The shaft has no shape to add strength where it is needed and aid grip other than a tiny tiny swell at the end. The big problem is the socket that the shaft slots into. It’s completely uneven and wraps unequally around the woodwork leaving it weaker on one side than the other. It’s no wonder that others have had problems with them snapping. This must be a second, it will be going back to be swapped and if the next one is crap, I’ll be asking for a refund. Why these can’t be made to the same quality as older ones is beyond me. Old ones are much lighter so quicker to swing, this is more like a cleaver.
