I really like the duality of sniffer and dye indicator choices. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Arrived early *by M***E on April 29, 2025* Works great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for home DIYers for HVAC & vehicles. *by L***O on July 31, 2023* This CFC "Sniffer" is exactly as described. It isn't a top of the line sniffer but, it doesn't pretend to be. It found leaks in both my home HVAC and truck A/C which is what I needed. The home HVAC system had no dye in it, so it just used air density and movement as well as the make up of the R-22 refrigerant to find a general air disturbance then turned up the sensitivity to use the chemical make up of T-22 to direct exactly to the leak, which was in an insulated low pressure line so, i would have never seen an oil build up or drip to find the leak. As soon as i peeled the insulation back, it directed me right to a pin-hole leak in a joint the someone welded/soldered in 2007, then , on my old Square body Tahoe, the A/C was leaking so long (I'd put a pound of 134a in it every year for about 6 years,) the entire engine bay lit up under the UV light on the meter at night (Even without the yellow glasses) but the sniffer lead me to the leak which was exactly where I expected it to be, the thin gasket where the charge port bolts to the compressor AND the Shrader valve itself (always change your Schraders when you evacuate the system, with no exceptions they will leak eventually).So overall , it did its job well. I just couldn't use it every day or in a shop environment as the body isn't built to take multiple drops, accidental hits from tools Ect... As for a home DYIer, absolutely would recommend for the home garage , basement or shed tool set. Just keep it in a hard case with silica moisture absorbing packs in them. I use a small plastic $5 harbor freight ammo can with a desiccant bag in it to absorb moisture. It's not one of my Snap-on tools so, I'm not going to cry if someone breaks it or otherwise messes it up but I do like even my welfare tools to work when I need them.
