Is there any space between the floor of the crate, and the side wall when you fold it down? I want to mount this to a rack on my motorcycle, and need

I don't know how/what you're using but there is space at the hinges on all sides (the sides are lower than the ends) but each wall closes down on top of each other and the two ends close down on top and snap closed to the outer edge of the bottom. So, there is gap on all sides at the hinges but no gap in the middle so to speak. For example, if you used a belt of some type or shock cord and ran it through one side and out the other side, the middle would not close enough to snap closed. You could strap it closed if needed. I think you may be able to run a belt of some type down the inside edges of the side (long) walls but you would have to make your own access points and still have it close right. On the end (short) walls you may be able to run a 3/8" - 1/2" shock cord along the inside edge walls but you would have to make your own access points and still have it close right. I hope this helps...

What are the Interior dimensions?

The dementioms are on the photo so I would say take about a inch off for the inside of it because of the sides

Outside is 21 5/16" end to end. 14 1/16" width at the widest points. Inside 19 3/4" end to end. 12 3/4" side to side.

Great collapsible car storage

These crates are easy to fold and unfold, and are really sturdy. They’re also nicely molded, with no sharp edges around the handles. And the panel that opens from the side is a nice touch when these are stacked.

Great crate for golf carts

Been using two of these together on my golf cart for about a year. With constant sun and other weather exposure, they still hold together very well and make for great detachable cargo storage that can be neatly stowed away.

Worth the cost

We bought these to mount as front cargo baskets on our Honda ATVs. I gotta say these things are TOUGH. They fold down nicely when not in use so they don't push wind or block the handlebar mounted headlight and turn signals. Mounting is easy by using super heavy duty zip ties to attach it to the factory rack. or you can bolt them down if desired. After I installed ours, 20 other people in our ATV group ordered them. They are THAT good. Hence the slightly higher price!
